US stealiing?

I couldn't help but make this a topic, the government is stealing and not just from other nations, but from you and me. Here is the latest proof;

u.presstelegram.com...

If anyone believes otherwise too bad, perhaps the saying "no new taxes" is just diarea of the mouth! I just dont believe this crap!

This has been big news here in Ohio. It goes to my "preemptive taxation" contention. The FEDS jack up the federal rates of taxation so high that the states and local governments have problems raising enough revenue. Of course this makes the states dependent on federal money (such as federal highway money). The whole taxation thing is a sham once one learns how banking operates in the USA.

Well, the "tax cuts" have made it through Congress -pretty desperate stuff and Cheney rides again.
We shall see if this is a stimulus to the economy or another flavour of theft.
AS the deficit balloons, it doesn't much matter what things are called - Americans are being "taxed" - a vast tax on future income io the hope of staving off impending bankruptcy.

nice to see another Ohioan here, jag. Ohio is in deep # and Gov. Taft is about effective as his great Granddad - just look at the petty taxes he's introduced as noted in that link. Dry cleaning? Cable? Where did that 'rainy day fund' go that we had? Though - the problem is more to do with the 'brain drain', I think, that with taxes and economy. Ohio had it's problems when the economy was good. And a big apology to the world over those steel tariffs - Ohio had a great deal to do with calling for those. In the last election had there been decent opposition Taft would have been out of there, last I read his approval rating was 40%

I recall he got in after quite a close battle, Bob: but he seems to have got away wiith murder since - education, absurd appliaction of security legislation, even upsetting the Rep's with his posturing on gun-control and "safe storage".
I can't think what Ohioans must make of him
