Indeed. We do know about their "unstoppable" Khinzal missile.

And we also know that it isn't unstoppable.

Point is ... he wants US military people with security clearances working on nuclear projects to come on here and validate his latest chest-thumping anti-American propaganda ... but I'm sure he wouldn't want his Russian buddies with security clearances who are working on nuclear projects in Russia to be blabbing the same way. To expect Americans with clearances to give away American military readiness secrets to some Russian guy on the internet .... that's absurd.

the USA has phased out total reliance on the now outdated 'Triad' system
in favor of a more complex Deterrence which incorporates the 23 systems found in NATO strategic forces...

with (you guessed it) the USA leadership at-the-helm as G.O.D. ... Global Organizational Director

Why is Russia always pushing the topic of we have nukes and will use them?

They don’t have any Aircraft Carriers in service, they are lagging behind in next gen fighters, and struggle with logistics when conducting war.

The only way they can threaten countries of similar size is to remind them that they hold nukes. It’s all they got right now.

One of their nuke delivery aircraft, the Tupelov "Bear", is a turboprop.

Wonder how long they would last?

From your link:

"The Air Force has modernized its Minuteman III missiles to last through 2030, and a Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) is set to begin replacing them in 2029.[98] The Navy has undertaken efforts to extend the operational lives of its missiles in warheads past 2020; it is also producing new Columbia-class submarines to replace the Ohio fleet beginning 2031.[99] The Air Force is also retiring the nuclear cruise missiles of its B-52s, leaving only half nuclear-capable. It intends to procure a new long-range bomber, the B-21, and a new long-range standoff (LRSO) cruise missile in the 2020s."

Seems like the US is well sorted for giving you copious amounts of "Canned Sunshine" should you ever be foolish enough to kick things off. No?

a reply to: RussianTrollof course the Pentagon leaked info about delays in building a new nuclear weapon. There exist nuclear weapons that only a few know about.
If the Pentagon is telling the public & world about their issues in developing a new nuclear weapon , you can guarantee it’s controlled disinformation.
Those new missiles were built years ago .

I remember the Cold War years when the talk was of Soviet armour and mobile units sweeping across the Rhine and having to use tactical nukes against them - Pershing nukes?

Guess we don't have to worry about that now.

They don't seem very mobile these days.

There are oh so many aspects of the triad you are misinformed about.
I won't go into details as I only know the little that is public knowledge. What is not public is something you should be more concerned about. And it is not nuclear.

Really a shame. Russia had so much more promise in the 90’s and early 2000’s.

It’s one of the few times post WWII a large nation went to war to further its borders. Pretty bad look.

Yes, Glasnost and all that.

Then the gangsters took over and bled Russia dry and the old days of repression and authoritarian rule returned.
