How did they escape so easily from Moscow?
How did they travel so far without being apprehended?
Why on earth would they choose to flee to Ukraine knowing they would have to get past literally tens of thousands of Russian troops through an active, ongoing war zone?

Even Lukashenko of Belarus stated that the terrorists first tried to escape to Belarus but when realising that was unfeasible
they had no option but to try to escape to Ukraine where quite predictably they were eventually captured.
