TBH I will need to do a some timeline research in order to answer your question. Blanket assertion, Hitler was possessed before he ascended power. He and his immeadiate minions were fascinated to obsessed with the occult, or so I've read since the internet expanded my ability to review the history behind the history. I'm a believer in "material attachements" and what can be invited into one's life by invoking the physical, by sheer chance and certainly when sought after. IF what has been said about Nazi occult circles at the very top, bank on them pursuing the psuedo science aspect of dark power.
