Most people disagree with me, but...

I can't believe that nobody has mentioned Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt.

Trent Reznor, the original author of the song and who performed it with Nine Inch Nails, said that it was no longer his song.

I like Jeffery Foucault's cover of Lodi better than CCR's. And I do like CCR's. Foucault's cover is, IMO, more earthy, much more acoustic. I get more of a personal, soulful feeling from Foucault. Here they are:

Going all the way back to Christmas 1779 when the song was first composed by British/American John Newton, this is one of my all time favourite versions by Dan Vasc..... please watch....... this is how this hymn should be sung....
