Wars and rumours of war - I think we have officially entered that prophesied time period now.

Just a quick thread tonight.. We've all read the following scripture & perhaps have wondered what it would look like in practice:

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Matthew 24: 6-7

I sincerely believe we are now witnessing the beginning of the fulfilment of this scripture, which is echoed in the New Testament books of Mark & Luke also, in nearly identical language. We have to consider that Biblical prophecy concerning the End Times will always predominantly revolve around what is happening to Israel, though of course with the institution of the Christian church there is much said in the Book of Revelation that refers to the Gentile (non-Jewish) nations also.

Solid wars are now occurring in Israel/ Palestine, with Ukraine/ Russia, and with strong rumours of China/ Taiwan, with the severe & realistic proposition that the USA will be sending peacekeeping troops into Gaza, and quite probably declaring war on Iran (why else all the massive buildup of military hardware in the region by US forces?) We are truly in a time of severe levels of war & rumours of severe warfare likely to break out soon.

The scripture notes that these events/ campaigns will necessarily prepare the way for the End of Days, yet that time is not triggered by the wars directly, there are other events )in particular a Black Swan event described below) that will bring those things to pass, which I have commented upon previously, suggesting that we will actually see the rise of the archangel Michael before we see the actual End of Days. His role would be to provide a witness against the Powers thet Should Not Be, representing God & God's justice upon the Earth, leading the nations to salvation, all those who would receive the truth about Christ. This would lead to waves of revival around the world as God's kingdom is invigorated anew - but the End would come when the nations & powers opposed to God's kingdom in an organised & vitriolic manner fight against Michael & those allied with him. This would be the time that the nations of the world turn on Israel & begin campaigns against that nation -and we're seeing the formation of those anti-Israel stances now.

There is much more complexity involved but I don't want to drone on when I said this would be a short OP. In summary I think we are now seeing the formation of a third world war, which will trigger a Black Swan event, which in turn will trigger a literal Apocalypse & the End of Days.

It's actually just Russia invading Ukraine, and Israel and Palestine fighting.
Russia invaded Crimea too, so that's nothing new.
Israel and Palestine have been at war for over 75 years, so that's nothing new either.
The only thing that's actually different, is that people are actually wanting to get involved
in other people's wars.

If it wasn't for that, current events would just be another Tuesday on the world stage.

Well, to be fair, there was that whole "Tower of Babel" thing that really hindered the rumor mill, there, for awhile.

These are not the end times.

The world during both world wars must have been considered the end times as well. Hell, think of the rise and fall of Rome, the reign of Genghis Khan, the dictatorships of Pol Pot or Mao, Stalin, etc.

Everyone keeps saying this is it and that would be based on their limited experience. Humans are gonna human, and just because you think it's bad now, you absolutely have no clue just how bad it can actually be AND has already been.

So is it bad enough to claim "end times" as being the culprit right now?

That's entirely subjective, and if you live long enough, your age will not only show up on the outside, but on the inside too as you come to terms with the fact that irregardless of the times, humans will human, no matter the technology humans will human, no matter how good it is eventually humans will human.

If we ever get a clue AS A SPECIES and rid the earth of those that are just generationally evil and corrupt, we could avoid having these perpetual "end time" scenarios created for us that have nothing to do with a bible, and everything to do with inherent nature and propensity.

We're capable of good and evil, but attributing that behavior to anything other than who we ARE, is self-deluding and, frankly, irresponsible.

IMO.

Black Swan Event:

I don't see a black swan event here......it seems pretty cut and dried.

It was a century of almost unbroken war, with few and brief periods without organised armed conflict somewhere.” A report from the Worldwatch Institute states: “Three times as many people fell victim to war in [the 20th] century as in all the wars from the first century AD to 1899.” More than 100 million people have died as a result of wars since 1914.

“There will be food shortages.” (Matthew 24:7) Researchers say that food production has increased greatly during the past 30 years. Nevertheless, food shortages continue because many people do not have enough money to buy food or land on which to raise crops. In developing countries, well over a billion people have to live on an income of a dollar or less a day. The majority of these suffer from chronic hunger. The World Health Organization estimates that malnutrition plays a major role in the deaths of more than five million children each year.

“There will be great earthquakes.” (Luke 21:11) According to the U.S. Geological Survey, an average of 19 major earthquakes are expected per year. These are powerful enough to damage buildings and crack the ground. And on an average, earthquakes strong enough to cause total destruction of buildings have occurred yearly. Available records show that earthquakes have claimed over two million lives since 1900. One source states: “Improvements in technology have only slightly reduced the death toll.”

“There will be . . . pestilences.” (Luke 21:11) Despite medical advances, old and new diseases plague mankind. One report says that 20 well-known diseases​—including tuberculosis, malaria, and cholera—​have become more common in recent decades, and some types of disease are increasingly difficult to cure by means of drugs. In fact, at least 30 new diseases have appeared. Some of them have no known cure and are fatal.

Aside from identifying certain world developments, the Bible foretold that the last days would be marked by a change in human society. The apostle Paul described what people in general would be like. We are told: “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.” (Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5.) Paul said that people would be

- lovers of themselves

- lovers of money

- disobedient to parents

- disloyal

- having no natural affection

- without self-control

- fierce

- lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God

- having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power

Have people become like that in your community? No doubt they have. There are people everywhere who have bad traits. This shows that God will soon act, for the Bible says: “When the wicked sprout like weeds and all the wrongdoers flourish, it is that they may be annihilated forever.”​—Psalm 92:7.

“This good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth,” said Jesus Christ in his prophecy about “the conclusion of the system of things.” (Read Matthew 24:3, 14.) Throughout the earth, the good news of the Kingdom​—what the Kingdom is, what it will do, and how we can receive its blessings—​is being preached in over 230 lands and in hundreds of languages.

If you are religious, and even if you arnt, there is one and only one thing you need to see to know the biblical endtimes are upon us ....

i think what really endangers the world now, in addition to the war, is the threat of Artificial Intelligence, the World Economic Forum, plans for fifteen minute cities, CBDC currencies, censorship & the rise of new fascism/communism hybrid political theories, as well as the bioweapons of the vaccine mandates, the narrative control of the pandemic & more besides. It is not merely the wars which make me believe we are in the End Times, it is the whole lot of these things in combination. In world war 2 for example there was still freedom & societal good, people lived by a moral code - these days people are blown in every direction by the winds of change, temptation & power. We live in very dangerous times, and nobody in this thread has taken account of these things. Perhaps I should have included this statement in the OP, I must admit it didn't cross my mind at the time. But yes, dangerous times.

I never claimed that the black swan event had already occurred, only that it would occur soon. I predict before May 2024, prior to the 77th World Health Assembly when they will try to enforce the Pandemic Treaty & the International Health Regulation amendments, which are intended to lay significant groundwork for the administration of the New World Order.

I think we're just reaching another crescendo in the story of humanity. It happens.

Historically, it's been far worse than we could ever know. This is not peak evil by any means. Its evil indeed, but not the sum of all evil since our beginning. If it was, think about what that would be like....yikes😬!

That's why I think this is just another hump or bump in the road to hell. Don't worry, we'll get there, just not as soon as people think.

This unfortunately is the way it plays out for humans over and over, and it seems we never get it right. IMO, religion is too simplistic to explain everything. Great story and indeed helpful, but overall it's an incomplete picture of just about everything.

People fill in the gaps with belief, faith and subjective interpretation claiming proof of historical accuracy, that their version of the bible is the complete and correct one to follow, and the squabbling ensues. Just look at where that has gotten us! Are we any better, or just the product of being incessantly scared into compliance and subjugation? Idk.... it's late. I gotta get some rest. Nice topic. The beauty of Revelation is it's written in such a way, it applies to all times when it's read..
I think it's the "no one knows the time...." thing. It keeps us on our toes. Remember we thought Caesar, Hitler, Napoleon...all thought to be the Anti-Christ so watch out.

They weren't. I'd surmise when it hits for real, we'll know. For sure. But until?

Which most people who have been paying attention also expect to happen. I will be surprised if it doesn't happen.
