There are a few waaaayyy better than that.
In fact , having the Win 10 look is built right in to the OS itself .

That is always a matter of opinion... as is my preference, which, as I said, is the old Windows 2000 style, which was certainly NOT available in Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 0r 11.

Yes, and I loathe it with a passion, which, again, is why I have been using Classic-Now-OpenShell since forever.

Without registering a product ?
Or just linking it to your MS account ?

I have no issue with registering a product, and am happy to purchase it.
I just don't like the forced MS account approach. I've seen some workarounds, but they seem to be tracked by MS and "corrected" so that they are no longer viable.
Wondering if there is a current way of installing the (registered) OS without having the account.
Thanks for the reply!

After a quick search I found what I did on the two occasions I had to use it.
After selecting the keyboard layout the installation installs the network. Just after that, turn off the Wi-Fi or disconnect the network cable. In the next step, the installation searches for an Internet connection, and if it doesn't find one it allows the creation of a local account.

Thanks. I infer from your comment that there is no viable work-around other than another email account.

That is how one avoids registering . IIRC , if powered off , then on, the system will not boot .Windows 10 allowed a "trial" period doing that.

My sister has been using her computer for almost one year without any problems.
Windows 10 also allowed it, I have some computer at work installed without a Microsoft account for several years.
