I don't know what forum this should go in since we don't have an 'Above Disgusting" forum....yet.

Parents in a Texas school district are demanding answers from school officials after first-graders allegedly forced their 6-year-old classmate to perform a sex act while they filmed it despite a teacher being in the classroom.

It's not like the majority here didn't see this coming even though we have some who don't seem to think sexual literature is appropriate for little kids.

"A 6-year-old was exposed to things that even adults would have a hard time overcoming," a protesting parent of another student at the elementary school told the Herald. "This is trauma at its worst, and it is a trickle-down effect because it affects everyone around them."

Heather Gonzales, an older cousin of the 6-year-old girl, told KCBD that the girl's family noticed a sudden change in her behavior amid indications of distress and complaints of a stomach ache.

The girl reportedly revealed that a boy had exposed himself to her in the school lunch line and that she had also been pulled under a desk and pressured to perform a sex act while another student recorded with a district-issued iPad.

The statement also noted that the alleged incident "occurred away from the full vision of the teacher" while she was working with other students.

Perhaps exposing children to books showing how to perform sex acts isn't the such a good idea after all? This #e is beyond disgusting....and so are the people supporting it in the name of 'equality'.

The 'wokeness' going on will eventually lead to a situation sweeping the nation that won't be pretty.

Un-effing-believable!

i recall a girl in my primary school in the early 80s used to show her downstairs bits under the table, i guess some kids unfortunatly are exposed to sexual things before they have maturity of what they are doing, the blame IMO rests with the boys who commited the act (coercing this poor girl) and the parents of the boys for clearly not raising them with any modicum of respect, there does not seem to be a suggestion in the highlighted text you provided that this was any part of the school cirriculam, thankfully.

it all started around the time of social media was getting rolling real good. back when i was a youngin, that kinda sh@@ diodn't happen.
the only time you ever saw anything pornographic is when some one stole their pop's playboy.
sure other hard core was out there, but it was far and in between, and wasn't pushed like it is now.

This blow my mind still. When I was in school, I had literal NOVELS taken away from me in English. How in hell can they have phones? This should be banned from ALL school grounds, students and teachers alike.

I guess worrying about cooties is a thing of the past, we've "progressed".

Like you said "above disgusting".

Sue them? Not sure what else you can do at this point (that isn't extreme), go to the school and complain at a meeting and they'll arrest you.

This teacher too, how could they not notice something up? Ridiculous.

I think that maybe we can give the teacher a pass on this to some extent.
I mean if you had been that teacher and given how young they are, don't you think it is reasonable to assume that something like that would never happen?
Also the article does say the teacher was busy helping other kids.
Just saying

Back when I was in elementary there wouldn't be any *of that* going on without the teacher noticing, they always kept order in the classroom and certainly no i-pads, to record pron with.

Maybe at recess I could see it, but....yea, just...

The parents and society take the biggest share of blame, but, I'm not sure I could figure out how to quantize all of that.

Hopefully the lawsuit they will win will bankrupt the school district.

I am surprised this doesn’t happen every day with Liberals in charge of the school curriculum.

Every adult - and I mean every one of them - associated with pushing sex onto children should be indicted and jailed for child abuse and paedophilia. It's not the fault of the kids.

You should really check out the link for ALL of the story-I left out a lot because.....it's disgusting.

Sex education in far too many schools IS part of the cirriculum now; that's what all the fighting has been about on ATS lately. That, and the body mutilation they liberal woke are pushing.

Nor do they need books with pictures showing how to perform sexual or being taught they can be whatever gender they want and that they're probably in the wrong body.

This situation almost happened a few times while I was a counselor at a summer and after school daycare center for underprivileged families back in the 90s. Thankfully I, unlike this teacher, was paying attention to the kids so stopped it from happening before it started. In these cases the boys involved had dysfunctional families and it was not hard to believe that they would behave in this manner.

Kids didn't have video equipment in those days so that's a new wrinkle.

The boys forced the girl to perform a sex act and your takeaway was they shouldn't have Ipads in school?

Kids can't be isolated from the world of technology; they need to learn how to use our modern devices SAFELY with ADULT SUPERVISION.

My takeaway? If kids are under a desk long enough for a sex act to take place there must not be adequate supervision.

It sounds more like making excuses for the teacher than giving her a 'pass'. If my kid were sexually assaulted in the FIRST grade there would be NO excuse; no pass.

Instead of using our tax dollars to buy pornographic books to fill schools with, how about hiring enough classroom aids to monitor 6 year old students so they're not under their desks force girls to perform sex acts?

The article says it was a district-issued iPad not the kids' personal iPad. Schools are increasingly embarrassing use of electronics as teaching tools. Smart boards, laptops, ipads. They lock them out so only the school approved contant is accessible. Still, many kids can figure out how to take advantage of the technology; especially as they get older.

My kids' schools give all the kids cromebooks. They do some of their homework on it and some tests; presentations are done in PowerPoint instead of a cardboard bifold.

There are good aspects and bad. Kids get to interact with the learning material more than just staring at a black board. But I do find that the technology does also get in the way sometimes.

Good or bad electronics are a part of the world we live in now; kids do need to be exposed to it and learn how to use it to work ... they will be doing so for the rest of their lives.

I'm not sure a lawsuit stands a chance; Texas has far too many liberal judges, sadly.

I was thinking about such children too and that it used to be a huge red flag that child was being sexually abused.

Now I wonder how many of these abused children will think it's good and normal because their teacher said so.

I agree that it's a crying shame parents didn't teach their boys not to bully, but I'm not sure the parents knew and understood enough about what their boys were taught to even know what to teach their boys NOT to do.

I blame the school and the teacher for teaching material that these kids are not mentally or emotionally mature enough to process the information given. Double responsibility for NOT teaching that "no" means no, or that there school is not the proper time and place for intimacy.

ETA: The teacher dropped the ball big time. That this happened in the classroom while the teacher is present is outrageous.

iPads and laptops have taken place of textbooks in most places. I guess it's cheaper to buy one electronic device per student, in bulk, than it is to buy a truck load of textbooks.
