Recorded 2 wolves today!

Im up at work currently.
I was out doing my morning rounds checking on the crews, when I noticed two shapes running around one of our tailings impoundments.

I watched them playing around, chasing each other for about 5 minutes, while I was struggling to get some decent pictures of them, with the hand camera I had on me. (I got about 6 pics of them with the hand camera, but they just look like distant dogs)

And that's when I remembered... I had one of my drones with me!

I sent the bird up - which immediately got our playful wolves attention.
I hit record and smashed the throttle forward. They were about half a kilometer from me. But the drone can go 70 km/hr.

Quickly, I caught up to them but was having a hell of a time seeing them on my Ipad because the sun was shining right in my face.

I managed to get some footage of them. I wish I was able to get both of them in the frame up close, but was only able to focus on the larger wolf.

Dang this is some national geographic quality stuff. You must be in antarctica??? A desert of snow. Wolf thinking "wtf kind of bird is that?"

Exactly what I was thinking . That shadow looks more like it’s “transforming”.

Im in my office trying to find a decent video editing download.
Theres a few minutes of me aimlessly flying trying to locate the wolves on my screen.
I want to edit that out and upload it to YouTube.

Knowing I had to fly at 10 meters per second to keep up with these guys, really makes me appreciate their speed in the wild

Beautiful, I agree the one with the shadow is magnificent.

There are good printing services for high quality pictures in all shape and for, even backlit, it's worth a look at with such a beautiful personal moment.

I myself have had a pink soft coral macro shot in door size in the living room, it's a nice reminder and always something to marvel at. It's better than any bought picture in that way

with my Cannon. First black squirrel in this area in decades.

Have you considered droning them a porkchop? I'd like to see them jump around for it while you dangle it there prior to delivery.
