Is America the Daughter of Babylon?

There's people who ask, where's America in the Bible but I have seen people say America is the daughter of Babylon or the false prophet or the political part of mystery Babylon. Here's an article that proposes America is the daughter of Babylon.

-Zechariah 2:6, 7; Land of the North clearly reveals that the Daughter of Babylon is a physical Nation among the world associated to a direction where she lies. This Nation also has Zion held captive if Elohim is telling Zion to escape her. Also if she is considered a daughter, then this Nation will likely have a mother country she came from.

-Jeremiah 51:6–8; This Nation has sway over the whole Earth and the rest of the Nations, this indicates that she will be a powerful Nation among the world. She will be destroyed suddenly, this passage ends with a potential hope for her healing. Some may be confused that this could be talking of the ancient Babylon, go back and read verses 1–5 in this chapter, you will see that both Israel and Judah are spoken of in verse 5. We know that ancient Babylon took captive the Jews (House of Judah) but only the few remnant left of the House of Israel from the Assyrian captivity. The next time Israel and Judah are seen together is the end times, both of them captive in the Daughter of Babylon so we know this is an end time prophecy.

I read some of the book and it makes a great case that America is the daughter of Babylon. If it's not America, which other nation could be the daughter of Babylon?

The Bible also says:

Jeremiah 50:3 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.

4 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God.

9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

12 Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

It says this daughter of Babylon will have a mother(Britain) and it would be the hindermost(youngest, last of) the nations.

Here's what hindermost means in Hebrew.

achărîyth, akh-ar-eeth'; from H310; the last or end, hence, the future; also posterity:—(last, latter) end (time), hinder (utter) -most, length, posterity, remnant, residue, reward.

So this will be a great nation of immigrants towards the end times.

It also predicted terrorist attacks and there may be more devastating terrorist attacks on the horizon.

Jeremiah 51:1 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;

2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

3 Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.

The NIV says:

This is the Hebrew word for fanners:

zûwr, zoor; a primitive root; to turn aside (especially for lodging); hence to be a foreigner, strange, profane; specifically (active participle) to commit adultery:—(come from) another (man, place), fanner, go away, (e-) strange(-r, thing, woman).

To fan in hebrew means to winnow:

zârâh, zaw-raw'; a primitive root (compare H2114); to toss about; by implication, to diffuse, winnow:—cast away, compass, disperse, fan, scatter (away), spread, strew, winnow.

If America is the daughter of Babylon, we will be hit by more terrorist attacks before we're bombed by Russia, the Country from the North. On top of that, there will be viruses, horrible weather and food shortages.

This article says 65,000. The sad thing is, 99% of the refugees can simply want to escape Afghanistan and have a better life in America. If 1% are terrorist wanting to attack America, that's 650 people. If 5%, over 3,000 people attacking soft and hard targets plus and terrorist that sneak through the southern and northern borders.

Some of what it says could also be interpreted as times during the initial European immigration of N. America. Those immigrants wiping out all inhabitants rather than the current ones. Some believe the United States to be "The Great Whore of Babylon".

In modern terms the US is indeed the closest city and New York in particular has a statue of Ishtar the Whore of Babylon whose followers sold sex in temples and worse in the form of the Statue of Liberty which was actually based on Ishtar and created by a French Freemason.


There is also an identical statue but much smaller and made of stone in Paris on the Seine so it could also in that argument reference Paris and also since Britain often portrayed by Britannia a female Goddess was a nation that sat on Many waters and ruled over many people it could also mean Britain.

The best fit today is however the US albeit not the entire nation but New York in particular though the city of London is also a very close match and about just as close with the City of London being a den of thieves in most peoples opinion and also being probably more important to the international financial industry than any other group in the world with the bulk of the worlds currency transactions passing through the city of London.

These days though Britain does not make all the merchants happy, the US currently does and China is just as important these days to those same merchants though more for exports from that nation than import's to it.

But perhaps we are all looking in the wrong direction, India and the nations of Saudi Arabia are positioning themselves to be much more financially influential and it could indeed mean a literal New Babylon though perhaps at least not yet in Iraq were the old Babylon partially rebuilt by Saddam Hussein (whom tried to immortalize himself by having his name stamped on the new brick's) once stood.

It could even be a nation we currently do not know as every century has it's new Babylon.

Still currently the very best fit is New York and the United States that are arguably it's child since so many migrants to the US passed through New York with even Boston not even coming a close second on that point.

That's very narrow minded thinking, prophesies in the bible were about the future. They didn't have to be about a present time or place. Although the U.S. was not known as a country, many people believe that the North/ South America, Arctic and Antarctic were known about far back in history.

Does the Bible have any maps that mention or show the Americas, i don't think so.

As to to prophecy, well that's self fulfilling really, because the person who believes such resulting behaviours align to fulfil the belief.

If as above God said that all your horses and soldiers with swords and shields would be drawn out then it has either already happened or will be happening a long time from now - we haven't warred with those resources for over a century and would take an ELE sized event to put us back there.

Revelation 18 talks about America and what will happen also.

Babylon was said to be a great nation or city, and maybe one of the first. Babylon was also an enemy state to that of Israel, and destroyed the first Jewish temple, and in some scriptures, enslaved them. Thing is it been said some Jews chose exile, while others became assimilated in their culture, which is Polytheistic, an blasphemous to Judaism Monotheism.

I believe the Great Mystery of Babylon is how it rose an fell, which must of been common, but forgotten knowledge to an extent. Then there are the other three beast in Daniel's Vision.

Hence why it gets applied to Rome, and the Vatican, allegedly, according to the Bible.

The Bible was written by man, yes...but every word that made it into the final version has been fully approved and given by God. Otherwise...it wouldn't be against sin. It would be saying sin is ok!

It's weird how these obscure allegorical references want to act like prophecy but aren't quite coherent enough for the people who need to see the warning to actually understand what they are being warned about. Prophecies are only as useful as language skills of the author who pens them, and these authors all write like they have no idea who they are doing it for. Not very psychic at all.

The US will be destroyed in one hours time. The whole world will file by in sorrow. They will say, " who will buy our wares now".

I saw this many years ago. Decades ago. I believe it was a vision. A scary one at that. The smoke went up forever. That's nuclear. Perfect time to attack, would be when you had a demented, old, Alzheimer's patient running the country, don't you think?


The amazing thing about the Bible is that it is the only inspired writing of the Living God, and is the only writing that is always correct, regardless of how many thousands of years in advance the information was foretold.

I think it was Ezekiel, that God was telling the future to, and the poor guy was about scratching his head, thinking what the heck? There's not even anybody here." And God told him "just write down what I told you". And sure enough, nations formed and the things God told him came about, exactly as specified.

The fall of Babylon was foretold by a hand appearing and 'writing on a wall'. We have all heard the term, the writing on the wall foretelling something. Well I am not religious, but I think the story is pretty good, and the Iron Maiden video where they are dancing around this exact subject is also very good. You know that could be by design. Jesus came for the Jews,but he included the gentiles he reached out to, Romans, Greeks, Canaanites, Samaritans, and Gadarenes.
If the prophecies were written just for one people,they might not mean anything to the others.
