Nobody knows what game that is, they only have a website with morse code!!!

anybody can crack? Many assume that this is FALLOUT 4....YAAAAY

thesurvivor2299.com...

for those who dont know fallout games, its like skyrim, but in the far distant feature, post-apocalyptic times...! The only certainty about this domain, that is being registered by Bethesda.

Came across this in another forum. Bethesda filed a copyright for "Fallout 4" in Europe on November 14. Seems kinda odd to me, as far as I know Fallout 4 wasn't even in production yet. if anything, they might just be announcing that it's coming.... Or someone is trolling.

That's the Vault Tec logo on the bottom.
Finally!

Is that a legit site though, or is it a hoax? It wouldn't be the first time.

OMG, OMG, OMG... *prances around like a school girl*

Ok now that that's outta my system,

Nothing would make me happier than a next gen fall out, my pc and ps4 are woefully under utilized until they have a next gen fall out or elder scrolls...

Bethesda is by far my favorite studio.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade here but...... Are we sure it's Fallout 4 ? Wasn't there a rumored Fallout MMORPG being produced a few years ago ?

This is what it says:

It just goes on like this forever. I think it's just jibberish, but I'm using a morse code audio translator and maybe it's wrong. Perhaps this means something to someone?

ETA: I've fallen away from gaming over the past few years, and spend hardly any time doing so. This would probably change if there were a new Fallout game. =]

Tink,

You're really close to the complete translation. I found the actual audio file here -> Audio File and used a morse translator (MultiMode Cocoa) which is donationware. The translation I got out of the file is:

12.11.13 11.12.13

Which I assume means November 12th, 2013 - December 11th, 2013

The page codes the mp3 to repeat forever...

Hopefully this is the real deal and not some jokesters playing our strings

Fallout 4 is rumoured to be in production with a 2015 possible release , that's a long time to have to wait but it's Fallout so it'll be worth it .
Fallout 4 trademark has been applied for by Bethesda , there's also a rumour that it will be officially announced next month .

I was thinking the same thing. After listening for awhile there are some weird variations.. It doesn't just repeat the date over and over, which I originally thought as well.

Using your link I get the same results, but decoding from the site linked I get all these weird variations..

I'm going to delve into the code again and see if I can find something to cause variations in the audio. Perhaps there is some script running to change the played audio while on the site...

I'll be back in a bit

The domain is registered to ZeniMax Media who are affiliated with Bethesda and own the intellectual rights to the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series among others (DOOM :O) I've been translating the audio directly from the webpage and it is just the repetition of 12.11.13 11.12.1312.11.13 11.12.13 etc I'm not getting any letters.

But I do notice some interesting scripting on the page that apparently will load different characteristics depending on where the request is originating. If we get more people to do translation from lots of different locations around the globe, we might get more information. I'm located in the northland of Minnesota. Hopefully we'll get more translators to post what they get from their locations.

PS This is a great first discussion thread for me! Glad I decided to join the discussions!

Here is what I got: thesurvivor2299.com...

I've been trying to translate it but I'm no good at it, so I'll leave it to the more skilled translators.

ETA: Also, in the page source theres "The Survivor, 2299".

2299 is 28 years after Fallout 3 takes place. Hmm..

I am going to have to buy a new computer. My computer is just fast enough to handle Skyrim but couldn't handle Dragon Age.

This is great news if true. However, when they do another Fallout they need to upgrade it. Fallout 3 was awesome and fulfilled my expectations completely in relation to Fallout 2(my fav computer game of all time....well and torment...) but by the time I got done with Fallout New Vegas I was really sick of the scenery.

If they use the same textures/graphics etc I don't know how much I'll enjoy it. I doubt they would but you never know...I always got the feeling the Fallouts took back seat to the Elder Scroll games.

It'd also be cool if they did one outside the U.S..

It means those two dates in both US dating and other countries dating techniques (day month year vs. month day year).

The Fallout MMO ended up in a legal battle with Interplay. Apparently when Bethesda bought the rights to Fallout, they didnt get the rights to a Fallout MMO... (similar to the branding dispute a few years ago)

This is Fallout 4 from what I know. I'm trying to find ut what stage of development they are in, if they are ready to announce, then they most likely have some betas floating around...

I hope FO4 comes next year on PS4. That would be my Christmas. A next-gen, open-world, post-apocalyptic game? Yes please. Just take my money now. *Better make sure there aren't any issues like Skyrim had on PS3, though.

It will use a tweaked version of the skyrim engine, I actually think fallout 3 could have been a better game but lacked the size and number of quests as well as interactive factions, still cool and looking forward to Fallout 4 but I do wonder what the plot will be, arguable I think new vegas was better than fallout 3 but then they were essentially the same game that used the same assets though vegas had better quests.
