MOSCOW — Predicting the imminent collapse of the U.S. dollar, a Russian lawmaker submitted a bill to his country’s parliament Wednesday that would ban the use or possession of the American currency.
Mikhail Degtyarev, the lawmaker who proposed the bill, compared the dollar to a Ponzi scheme. He warned that the government would have to bail out Russians holding the U.S. currency if it collapses.
“If the U.S. national debt continues to grow, the collapse of the dollar system will take place in 2017,” said Mr. Degtyarev, a member of the nationalist Liberal Democrat Party.
“The countries that will suffer the most will be those that have failed to wean themselves off their dependence on the dollar in time."

Now they are looking to ditch us. I think a collapse is coming pretty soon and that is what all these drills and domestic military training is for.

I believe I'll get quite a laugh out of the situation when America starts the final economic plunge, to see many outside the U.S. having a grand time watching ....just to having their own economies implode and become junk status right along side us, at roughly the same instant.
Doom is fun to root for...until one realizes it's their OWN doom as much as anyone else's, it's really ushering in.

All empires come to an end. Mostly due to their arrogance, corruption, moral deprivation...

What will be truly entertaining is watching the doom-sayers realize, all too late, how interconnected and interdependent the world economy has become.

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog asks, "How do I know you won't sting me?" The scorpion says, "Because if I do, I will die too." The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp "Why?"
Replies the scorpion: "Its my nature."

Yeah, no kidding... Now my question? Which is even which between the Kettles and Pots? It's just a bunch of loud banging while we all get cooked together, it seems to me.

Counter productive?
I would like to hear more about this. I mean I understand how it is productive to have a nation run and produce on currency that is printed as it is needed...however that cash has to stand for something. Doesn't it?
I am thinking at the moment I agree with this guy...if we are gonna just print what we need, and stuff the stock market full of bonds and zero interest loans....
Well, a Ponzi scheme we seem to be....however I am more than happy to be educated....
So please go on........

Yeah, but unfortunately they are rebuilt, with similar characteristics.
You think it will be different this time?
