Well, I knew this when he was a Senator.

"Here comes the new boss, same as the old boss."

Obama isn't some up-and-coming Dictator, he isn't the Anti-Christ,
he doesn't have an agenda of his own. He isn't serving partisan
ideology.

He's just a guy that got put into office by a very powerful banking cartel
because his image best suited their needs at the moment. He's just a guy
doing what he was told to do.

EXACTLY... before, Bush was the idiot, now it's Obama...
It's a SCAPEGOAT scenario to keep us distracted from the big picture.

The next president will also be another idiot on a string.
Look at the whole play folks, not just one puppet.

I have no problem with socialized healthcare, but how about you educate yourself on what the ACA actually does and requires. Hint it's not socialized healthcare. Try mandatory healthcare. Obama pushed through a stinking turd of legislation that gives (read: forces) every American to BUY healthcare. Please explain to me how that is socialized healthcare?

In socialised healthcare people are forced to pay taxes for the healthcare. Makes pretty much same out, doesn´t it?

Although what differs in Obamacare and socialised healthcare is the individualisation. Round here, everybody pays the same amount of taxes (8%) and gets whatever treatment needed for it, however much it costs, whether a heart surgery or just a stomach ache, still the maximum cost at a specialist (GP is free of charge) is less than 10 dollars visitation fee. With Obamacare still things are taken individually, individual health plans etc, everybody gets treatment according to what the pay.

Socialised healthcare would not make it through in US, too many right-wingers making noise over paying for others healthcare without thinking that they would pay the same amount, if not even more with the insurance companies.

Also it would not pull it off financially. Doctors are overpaid compared to other parts of the world, also every medical service is overinflated, if the hospitals asked the same amount for different tests as they do in US, even this country would be bankrupt...

Socialised healthcare would benefit US a lot and the healthcare reform is a good idea in theory, especially lower/middle class, although currently the country is simply not ready for something like that.

Personally I have nothing against Obama. Most of the scandals are just media hype. Even in a company of 300 people, the CEO has pretty much no idea what is happening in the bottom floors, just no time to micromanage. What would you expect from running a country of 300 million with thousands of employees. Every piece of information comes from somebody else, nearly never first-hand.Also in politics pretty much everything depends on the other party members and opponents. You might be the president, that does not mean you have all the power at your hands. You can afford to lose supporters, who would vote for your decisions at the congress. You have to make sacrifices on one end to gain votes for you in the other end. Look at the Guantanamo Bay thing. However hard he tried to push, the congress stood as a wall in front and nothing could happen.

In a way I think that sign was actually accurate. It wasn't a sign declaring "We fixed Iraq."
It was, figuratively, a sign from those who profit off of war, declaring "We've successfully installed the foundations for creating a revenue stream that will last us 15 years at the minimum."
Mission Accomplished.

No, much more simple than that. The mission subsequent to that was the toppling of the Hussein regime. The rebuilding effort would have been a secondary mission to the first.

I'm waiting for him to roll out the infantile paintings, or say something really dumb like rolling down the windows on a jumbo jet. Or believing Bain Capital is a business.

Or cheat on his wife in the oval office. He isn't anywhere near Reagan for Christ's sake.

He jumped the shark on Leno, but let's face it, he has no choice but to lie. That's his role and he's playing it.

Conditioned to believe everything you're told. 'Respect soldier they're heroes' only in your land, elsewhere they are murderers and rapists and then who leads the blind soldiers to profit from the war and uses propaganda to act as if he is a hero? No other than Obama.

Yes, but a dog and a wolf are both canines, but you don't see people going up and petting wolves on a regular basis. I think you get that however since you went on to explain the vast differences between real socialized healthcare and Obama's socialized healthcare.

I watched the entire interview and I agree, people seem to like to take things out of context. What he said vs what is written down and quoted is different. The written response makes it sound like he has no idea what he is saying while what he spoke is entirely different.

Is Obama an idiot? No, quite the contrary. Obama is very smart. That doesnt make him a good President, a good decision maker, or a person that you like ... but he's certainly not as you're describing him. I've not met the man myself, but I work with several individuals that have. None of them are huge fans of his by any means, but they all do comment on the fact that he's very smart, very well spoken, and a very interesting person to have a conversation with.

Obama does have a flaw, and his flaw is that when he talks he speaks in a manner in which he assumes that his audience is intelligent. The problem is, most aren't.

Anyone who works in the corporate world knows, or should know, that you have to talk to certain people in different ways. These are sad hard truths, but this is what gets Obama in the most trouble. The fact is that less intelligent people take absolutely everything that is said 100% literally. It's not their fault, they don't have the ability to parse what is said and what was meant...this is a critical skill that most intelligent and successful people have. Some people just don't have it, and that is ok, but they shouldn't try to decipher the conversations of more intelligent people...because this is what happens, misunderstanding.

I watched Obama talk about his, makes perfect sense to me. Widening the Panama Canal (in context, you don't have to say Canal, intelligent people know what you mean) will create more demand for ports in the Gulf but also for ports on the lower East Coast. So when he says we need more ports in the Gulf, pause, and then list more cities not in the gulf, intelligent people just automatically know he is talking about the Gulf and these other port cities...because it is in the context of talking about the Panama Canal. There is also political reasons to call out certain cities.

This has always been Obama's biggest problem, he speaks assuming people are intelligent enough to understand him. He doesn't dumb down his speech when talking to the public, this is why intelligent people love him and uneducated people are baffled by him and baffled by the people that see him as intelligent.

As an American living in Europe (For over a decade), I can genuinely say that you have no clue what you're talking about. Obama is an idiot, an unqualified idiot in fact. And I suggest you spend time in the United States and learn what it means to be American before making idiotic statements.

Who's stupid? The man who wants everyone to have access to healthcare and life saving treatments, or the people who reject it because it greedy doctors wouldn't like it...

I don't understand the relevancy of his answer to the question, beyond the general subject of fixing things. Is it a case of sidestepping a la the presidential debates? I'm hardly an intellectual slouch, so the idea that he is merely speaking as though his audience is smarter than they really are doesn't make much sense.
