Just going through the 25 most played songs on my ipod (yes, just found it!) and thought it might make for a good thread for people to share their lists.

It can be found in your playlists list on your ipod, no idea if other mp3 players have such a thing.

I'll post up mine.

Somebody that I used to know - Gotye
Bring me to life - Evenescence
The kids aren't alright - The offspring
Jumper - Third eye blind
Lonely boy - The black keys
God put a smile on your face - Coldplay
Show me how to live - Audioslave
Little talks - Of Monsters and men
Gabriel - Joe Goddard
Midnight city - M83

It's nice to know you work alone - Silver sun pickups
She's got issues - The Offspring

Freak - Silver chair
Going under - Evenescence
Feeding line - Boy and bear
Dirty paws - Of monsters and men

Ok, just realised 25 might be a bit too much lol

Well.

Share what you listen to.

I'm all for listening to new stuff.

And yes, I'm guilty of sticking with older favs too, even if it's a particular bands only good song... (Bush, Third eye blind)

also....coheed and cambria's newest album has a few good tracks. not the best one they've put out, my fav album by them was In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth III. afterman is a good song on the new album though. if you read about "The Amory Wars" online a bit before listening to the lyrics, it makes the songs mean that much more. If you don't, then the music tends to sound like it's about generic relationships and what not, but there is actually a deep and rich back story set in a fictional universe, like star wars almost, that the lead singer has incorporated into every single song they've ever done.

This is what I have been playing most on YouTube, since my MP3 player dissapeared on me. My MP3 player had all my happy music on it, hence I have been less than happy, hence the brutal nature of my top ten. Pretty cheesed off about it all to be quite honest. I miss listening to Devin Townsend as I walk to the bus stop

Cattle Decapitation- Kingdom of Tyrants
Slayer- War Ensemble
Children of Bodom-Towards Dead End
Vomitory- Regorge in The Morgue
Hackneyed- Gut Candy
Carcass- Corporeal Jigsore Quandary
Sylosis- Monolith
Behemoth-At The Left Hand ov God
Watain-Reaping Death
Deathchain-Graveyard Witchery

Personally speaking, I think Coheed and Cambria would make a better sound if I nailed them to a desk and put a very powerful drill directly through thier kneecaps, thier hip joints, and finally thier vocal cords. Hohum.

That would be an interesting sound, like the sound of a goats throat being slit at the climax of his orgasm when he's mounting your mistress from behind. Some of Coheed's music is ok, like I said, only a few tracks do I actually like. The rest is just too forced pop-punkesque bull #.

I have a distinct feeling you're a fan of Pink Floyd.

Nice list.

Haha. That's the one I haven't played in a couple of months! So I was surprised there were that many of them still on there.

It's an interesting list.

Some good tunes in there like Tool, Intronaut and Puscifer.

I can see you like the longer songs with a gradual build to them.

Thanks for sharing.

Blasphemy !!

Third eye blind and Bush made so many amazing songs you just never gave them a chance.

Edit, I'm a realizing that that's the problem with many good bands and many good songs, people don't even try to listen. The main reason people like songs is because the radio plays it over and over so much that people learn to like it, even bad songs are liked after a while.

People hardly give my own compositions a chance but I would bet my life that if it would pass on radio, I would have a million fans in a month.
