Im here and Im safe. Its hot, dusty, and smells horrible. Locals are nice and seem very gracious for our money.

I never seen so much multiculturalism in one place. There are so many different nationalities out here, couple with the afghans, it is one hell of a culture shock.

Just be sure to buddy up with someone who has been there a while, so he'll let you know what's what, where to go, how to act, what to eat, etc. Try a Shwarma....(like a middle east Philly, though sans cheese)

We've already been acquainted with the crew chiefs we're replacing.

They briefed us up on everything we're supposed to do while we're here. All subject to change, of course, when we assume full responsibilities of the mission set.
