There's few better feelings than finding a new piece of music that truly speaks to you on a whole new level I've found, whether that's due to the way in which lyrics motivate and Inspire you to stand up and take action, whether it makes you ponder your very own existence and consciousness or whether It's music that perhaps influences from that point on-wards the very way in which you find yourself viewing the world you live in. It's one of the amazing thing's about it all in my opinion, the way in which It's able to influence people, even at times an entire nation, and the way in which one person's personal and important message or tale can be spread and then heard by millions of people worldwide. This thread is here for that kind of music, in my opinion the real kind that truly matters. The kind that genuinely moves and speaks to you..

So, here's 2 of my favorites tracks that I feel send a great message all the while sounding pretty great, feel free to post yours too! I want to hear it..

Words I never Said - Lupe Fiasco

Changes - Tupac

Probably one of the most heartfelt melodic tunes I've heard in a while, beautifully played too.

Great classic. Colm wilkinson's power and performance blow me away.

Another melodic guitar type, with a gregorian influence. Good vocals too.

These are my regular tunes, along with various other like the xx - vhs and Chief, night and day. Some good music out there.

Lately this one is speaking to me. I found it by accident and it resonated.

One safe place - Marc Cohn.

"Spirit Voices" by Paul Simon has to be one of my favourite songs for kicking back and relaxing to - It gets me thinking of all the mysteries of life (I suggest you read more about his inspiration for the song)
It's message, and the memories it conjures in my mind are so beautiful, it's remarkable how much he can convey in just under 4 minutes.

Enjoy

Well I don't want no Jesus freak to tell me what it's all about
No black magician telling me to cast my soul out
I Don't believe in violence, I don't even believe in peace
I've opened the door and my mind has been released

Well I don't want no preacher telling me about the god in the sky
No I don't want no one to tell me where I'm gonna go when I die
I wanna live my life, I don't want people telling me what to do
I just believe in myself, 'cause no one else is true

Every day just comes and goes
Life is one big overdose
People trying to rule the nations
And I can't see through their frustrations

People riding their real pace
Keep on running their rat race
Behind each flower grows a weed
In their world of make-believe

So believe what I tell you, it's the only way to fight in the end
Just believe in yourself, you know you really shouldn't have to pretend
Don't let those empty people try and interfere with your mind
Just live your life and leave them all behind

I know I am gonna get laughed out of this thread but to me Prince is the most awesome musician ever. That guy plays the piano, guitar and harmonica. He can sing AND dance. His lyrics are so sexy, and you can really feel how much he appreciates women.

He was the first, to suggest girl on girl in his videos, as well as the 4 day beard. I just love him. Here is one of my all time faves of his:

Here

I don't know to embed the video.

Cream...get on top
Cream...you will cop
Cream...don't you stop
Cream...shaboogie bop

Sexiest man eva!!

I can't embed because I'm on an iPad, but I strongly suggest these:

The first is "Pale Green Things" by The Mountain Goats. It's a song about an abusive step father and the stepson trying to come to terms with his death. I almost cry every time. Anything by the mountain goats is amazing. Underrated is an overstatement.

Pale Green Things

"People" by Andrew Jackson Jihad. If you're a person, you need to listen to this.

People

If you haven't heard about Daniel Johnston, you might be foolish. He's written lyrics for many well known artists and bands. I really suggest watching the documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" it's a heartbreaking film about the man's struggle with schizophrenia. It will move you, seriously.

Devil Town

And finally, "AKA M80 The Wolf by Portugal. the Man. I probably should've posted this one first, but oh well. This is my jam.

AKA M80 The Wolf

Hope you guys enjoy.
