This is just a partial list, still not including movie directors, producers, and the millions of "movie industry" people in LA. What do they know? Where are they going? I have never seen a massive exodus like this.... I'm a bit uneasy about this situation.

Sure seems like an awful of prominent successful LA residents are abandoning ship. The author claims to be a Los Angeles real estate agent and reports to have never seen an exodus like this one.

If it were an LA broker, I would less likely believe him/her because in interest of business I doubt they would be so openly outspoken about such a catastrophe that would essentially end their career in such a vast region.

The drill dramatization boasts a 400-mile radius for nuclear fallout area - now that's huge!

I'd say that's far more likely to be the reason any wealthy people are leaving California. Those who could leave, HAVE been leaving for years. Gov. Moonbeam just made things so much worse by a whole new level of mismanagement that I guess even those who have enough money to avoid being directly hurt are saying it's not worth it. Assuming the list is verifiable of course. I'm guessing those names have multiple homes across multiple states anyway. Are they selling their California homes? That would be an important question too I'd think.

In my 10 years of being a real estate agent in la,
I have never seen AN EXODUS like this one.
"Maps of Stars Homes" have now become "Maps of Stars Homes FOR SALE". Everyone is bailing out of Los Angeles this month,
drastically reducing their mansions by millions of dollars,
taking enormous losses, and are DESPERATE TO SELL ASAP.

Why would they even try to sell their soon to be destroyed mansions if theres any truth to this?

Millionaire buyer: "So why are you selling this so cheap?"
Real estate agent "No reason. Oh by the way it comes with free hazmat suit and iodide pills"
Millionaire buyer: "Sure beats that rock I was living under"

In LA. No bomb yet. The KTLA warning video was fun though. I just scared the crap out of my roommate.

If there really is a (mass exodus) of the famous and wealthy out of LA; the reason you have stated above I think most likely is the real reason why.

In my mind this is unnecessary.

That being said... This thread is naught but attention grabbing video and non-backed sources.

I agree with the previous members, who've already suggested that folks are fleeing from the taxes. I bailed out of California, because I was not interested in taking on a greater tax burden.

Due to taxes in California, someone who makes over 1 Million keeps less than .40 cents of every dollar they make. That sounds like a good enough reason to me to leave.

If this is at all true another reason may be the Japanese radiation drifting into the water and food supply (let alone coming in on the rain and on debris headed that way). Where are they all moving to?

I'm not sure if real estate listings would accurately confirm or deny the claim that people of any class are leaving California. Owning real estate in any particular state does not constitute state residency. Real estate is subject to property taxes. State income tax is payable to whichever state a person claims residency. Vehicle registrations, voter registration, and driver's license are mainly used to determine state residency.

All a person needs to do is pack up and start living in a residence outside of California. From there, vehicle registrations, voter registration, and driver's license are easily changed. After making those changes, future income is not taxable by California.

Well all one has to do is put one and one together and figure out that these democratic liberal actors are leaving the state to a land that better heightens them on their pedestal .

Half of them are going to Washington state, and half of them are going to Colorado.
