Mods sorry if this is in the wrong place...I just found out that Paul McCartney is coming to Memphis. Well I found out yesterday. I got so excited and was jumping around and my son was excited as well...then my hubby says...you guys are silly...we can't afford that!

That is terribly heartbreaking that I can't go see a legend..in my eyes...just because of the cost.
Here's Paul's website
www.paulmccartney.com...

The Beatles are my all time favorite band. John Lennon is my favorite, and next is George Harrison.
Well I can't ever see either one of those guys
. Paul McCartney is next..and he's coming to Memphis, TN!!
I live 20 minutes away from where he's playing.
My cousin got tickets today. He paid 100$ for some pretty decent seats, not the best but pretty darn good.

My cousin is a member here actually but never signs in,he just sits back and lurks like a creepster..hehe...jk..

So no getting to see Paul and I bet my life...I will never get this opportunity again. I can't post any songs...or maybe I can..I shall try to post some of my favorite songs by Paul.
Just a few more links to his tours and what not

www.classichitsandoldies.com...
www.allgoodseats.com...
memphis.backpage.com...

So ATS ...I ask you...what is your favorite Paul McCartney song...
Mine is 'blackbird'... If i can post it, I will in a minute.

Believe me...you're not missing a thing...as much as he's loved over here in the UK, he got absolutely slated for his performance at the Olympics...his voice is well and truly broke. The media over here were saying it was embarrasing, and I have to say I agreed with them. His voice is over the hill.

Remember him as he was....seriously.

This was him at the Queen's jubilee celebrations before the Olympics, so I was very surprised to see he was one of the performers at the Olympics.

Ya know...I see what your saying..but it's Paul McCartney.... Ya can't beat it ...IMHO.

My hubby had the chance to see Bob Dylan, this was over 8 years ago. His voice is broke...but it was Bob freaking Dylan! He is also IMO....a legend with lyrics and his music.

Thanks for posting your videos....I'm still unhappy that I can't go.
I recently went and saw Elton John ...and I was not disappointed with that.

I saw Elton John at Riverbend in Cincinnatti OH about 25 years ago and I have to admit he put on the best concert I have ever seen. He even kept playing right on through while his band took an intermission. What a performer!

Good luck, I hope you find a way to see Paul.

Hey Nat, First how old is your son? Then was Paul in town that year?
See where I am going with this???

You could be standing by the back stage door if the age and years fit.

Scare Paul into a back stage pass.

Ya know what...I am going to be completely honest with you...I am under the influence right now, and I have no idea what you mean...
hehe.

Insert tipsy emoticon here..oh wait..is there one? ...

I do know that the only reason my boy was excited is because he wants to be just like his awesome mom!

I was kidding around, If your son's age matches the year Paul was in town for a concert. NOW I'M only kidding, you could stand by the back stage door and say I would like you to meet your ............

That would scare up a couple tickets.

I really feel like I should never have made the first post now.

I was only playing it seems not to be to funny after I explained it.

thank you, I'm glad I haven't upset you. I just wanted to give you a heads up as to how he is now as I didn't want you to be terribly upset if you had got to see him and was expecting the old Paul.

If I may be a bit cheeky and take advantage of your thread. Here is my fav 'old man' singing. He's 2 years older than Paul who's 71. This was my man's performance with his winning contestant from The Voice last year, followed by his and fellow judges opening 'team' performance just a few weeks ago.

Hope you enjoy

Maybe we should start a thread about who's still 'got it'?

faul mcfartney is not the original paul mccarney. the real paul was 2 to 3 inches shorter
than faul and had bow legs (stood and walked like he just got off a horse), unlike the
replacement. they did a switheroo (after a few unsuccess stand ins) while the real paul
took a backseat (spreading the rumour that he had died in a car crash) and continued in
music behind the scenes.

this is reportedly neil aspinall (neil as-in-paul), the fifth beatle
but it is in fact the original paul mccartney. they have the same lip and chin scars.

they are a bunch of fakers, the lot of them.
the beatles were a social engineering tavistock production.

Uh..thanks for stopping by....

I don't believe in that conspiracy what so ever. I have researched it here and there and thought about it maybe twice...but yeah that's Paul not 'Faul'

It's a fun theory in all...I just don't buy into it, and that's my personal and humble opinion. You my friend can believe whatever you wish.

To each his own.

It was a pretty good show. The music sounded pretty good but still no original beatles. The show was great too they did a bunch of different album themes so they dressed like 5-6 different outfits. Lots of trippy videos and lights.

They had two large screens on each side of the stage.
Then the conspiracy theorist in me saw while they performed "lucy in the sky with diamonds" they were showing saturn on one of the screens.

They also played jfk assasination video on the intro of the show.

They had the baphomet on the screen for a few seconds. (Had to confirm this with my brother, he also saw all I was seeing. It was just a weird show to me in some way even though I still enjoyed it because of the way I look at things in a certain prespective sometimes.

Oh and at one point they had the black and white swirling hypnotize spotlights shooting towards the walls by the audience
