'Anonymous' hacks Mossad website, gains access to data of 30,000 spies

www.presstv.ir

The Anonymous hacking group says it has hacked into the website of Israel‘s Mossad spy agency, gaining access to top-secret documents.

The Internet hacking group said on its twitter page that it gained access to the personal data of more than 30,000 Israeli officials, including military officials, politicians and Mossad agents, and that it will release the information gradually.

I know PRESS TV is not very popular around here but they are the only "mainstream" source that are reporting this, from what I can find at least.

A commenter on a different blog source raised a good point...how many of these spies are based in the USA?

What I would like to know is whether or not any of this data they claim to have obtained will shed light on Mossad's involvment in Iran and Syria, and if it will Jeapordize any their of their "plans".

I don't agree with some of what Anonymous does, and believe a lot of their accomplishments to be exaggerated, but sometimes they impress me with their actions.

That being said, I am still open to the possibility of Anonymous actually being a psy-op that is backed/infiltrated by the likes of Mossad and the CIA...I know it sounds weird but I have heard this theory before and it's certainly possible, but I am doubtful.

I don't like the Zionist filth but I like the typical overhype of Anonymous even less.

Of course ... Mossad keeps classified information on deep cover agents on a password-protected Wordpress page.

So what they got was access to the Mossad staff telephone tree. Now they know the cell phone number of the receptionist in HR. Wowzers.

It's like when they announced they'd "hacked" the Department of Justice and it turned out they'd just gained access to the website of the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the office that compiles drunk driving fatality stats. *yawn*

Here you go.

www.forbes.com...

The hack did happen, but doesn't seem to be the treasure trove it's made out to be.

Thanks for the link

I was almost certain that certain outlets such as Forbes would try to downplay this news. But you are correct, it does not seem to be very damaging information that they have obtained. There is still the possibility that they have come across more than that is being told on but I cannot prove or disprove the claims in the Forbes link so I will keep an open mind and look into it in more detail.

In my opinion, with a some good old fashioned detective work, there could be some interesting links and information discovered with the list that they have shown. The list is very large so it would take a long while research either way.

Just another propoganda by the anonymous group IMO. Israeli intelligence is not that dumb and should not be underestimated at any cost.

I love how Anonymous uses Twitter, VPN's and Hushmail accounts.

As if the NSA/CIA/FBI or other alphabet agency can't find the identities of these people that use such services.

The media sells them to technology ignorant people as hackers, but people with real hacking skills would be on the deep web or even more hidden than that.

They certainly wouldn't post YouTube videos either...

The more and more I hear/see about Anon, I'm convinced it's basically two things:

1. Actual people that have very little real hacking skills
2. Government "moles" with an ongoing false flag operation to shut down internet freedom

Edit to add:
Anyone who takes up the Anonymous flag is only giving the government what they want -- an excuse to clamp down on what you and I take for granted on the internet. The idea was novel in the begining, but just like OWS it's now been compromised.

I have very mixed feelings towards Anonymous, on one hand moves like this make we want to give them a bit respect but on the other I find them a bunch of dis-respectful dirty hackers.
And that is the problem they are anonymous any idiot can claim to be part of this 'secret society' and use it as an excuse to hack people, people like kids with nothing better to do.

If someone gains forced entry to your home how do you respond to it? I see hacking as the same thing personally and it is not nice. Plus as I said anyone can be anonymous so in all honesty we don't know the real motifs or goals of these Anonymous chaps, personally I cannot trust people who hide behind a mask so to speak and anyone could be behind that mask too.

Is corruptly exposing corruption a good thing?

Too funny PressTV and anonymous!

There are those who say anonymous is mossad.
There are those who say anonymous is CIa
There are those who say anonymous is just a pysop to create a boogieman for the justification on internet regulation world wide.

Then there is stuff like this: www.theatlanticwire.com... when it comes to anything anonymous says or does take it with a grain of salt.

Really government agencies keep spy lists that have public access!!!

Too rich.

There are real hackers that hack into actual sensitive material.

Does anyone remember Gary McKinnon?

He hacked into NASA and other US Military computers and:

“I found a list of officers’ names,” he claims, “under the heading ‘Non-Terrestrial Officers’… What I think it means is not earth-based. I found a list of ‘fleet-to-fleet transfers’ and a list of ship names. I looked them up. They weren’t U.S. Navy ships. What I saw made me believe they have some kind of spaceship, off-planet.”

And guess what? He got arrested and charged with a crime.

Mossad isn't just some ho-hum spy agency. They tracked down Nazi's in South America years after WWII. They know their craft very, very well.

If Mossad has indeed been hacked, these people should be very afraid.

That all depends on who is being "Hacked", and for what reason. I do not agree that "All's fair in love and war". It is still possible to "Love thy enemy" while you send him to jail lol lol. Some people really believe a "evil" mindset "Hacked" into our humanity. If true, they are only getting exactly what they give. And I don't see any corruption in that

Fellow member GreenGlassDoor provided a forbes link earlier in the thread that has a link to the list.

docs.google.com...

The list is rather long so have fun going through it, luckily the CTRL+F function works so you can search for any one specific that you might suspect...

ETA:

A lot of the names are in Hebrew so the CTRL+F function might not be as helpful as I mentioned unless you can type Hebrew.
