Stock Market Bump?

Well, the markets doing real well today. The Dows up around 113, Nasdaq up around 40.






Im just wondering, is this because of the drop in the oil price? Or is it because of the recent terror tape that we are getting tidbits of? If you look at the time on the charts above, both the Nasdaq and the Dow began the sharp rise about the same time. This time frame, between 1000 and 11oo was when the news of the tape appeared.

Did the news of the drop in oil prices start around the same time? I saw on another board people think that the news of the tape will really help out Bush and the MoneyMakers are responding believing he's a shoe-in now.

Also, the timing of the announcement of the "extra" oil is weird.

Anyone know more about this type of thing with a better explanation?
