While another shooting did happen, involving Aurora officers shooting their second man in as many days,(I will post link at bottom) this is a rant
about all of the threads EVERYTIME there is a killing involving a firearm. Yes there was a killing involving some crazy idiot, killing some people he
knew yesterday, it is not however a rare occurrence unfortunately. Aurora is NOT the nice community that was "SHOCKED" by violence as of late.
Truth is, it is notoriously know as an urban, gang filled, drug filled eyesore to Colorado. In fact, it is often referred to as "Saudi Aurora"
because of the many threats of shootings and gang/drug activity. And then we have the COPS shooting their second man in two days. This is a man that
was just accused of robbery. This goes to show that Aurora is not the innocent town that was just hit with violence since the cinema shootings in
July.
Police tried to contact the man but he ran, and the officer chased him through several yards. "Witnesses heard officer giving commands show your
hands," said Cassidee Carlson with the Aurora Police Department. "Shots were fired by the officer striking the suspect." The suspect was taken to
the hospital and is expected to be okay. The officer wasn't hurt. He'll be placed on administrative leave while the investigation
continues.
