Death of Mabus?

IS former President Bush Sr. the Mabus predicted by Nostradamus?

'Mabus' then will soon die, there will come
Of people and beasts a horrible rout:
Then suddenly one will see vengeance,
Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run.

The timing of recent events tied to this Quatrain is uncanny:

George Bush is in the hospital in worsening condition and there is fear of chemical weapons being used in Syria at this time. We will have multiple close encounters with comets in 2013 www.space.com... ml

There are other comets on the radar as well but they've already been discussed here on ATS, and I don't want to move away from the point of this thread. Will George Bush Sr. die soon? Is he the long awaited- Mabus? Will the use of chemical weapons be tied to the timing of his death even though that use may be unrelated? Also will his (potential) death be tied to the arrival of one of the many comets expected in 2013?

A pretty good fit, it looks to me. Even if the comet does no damage and passes on by. I would love to see some of the prophecies come true as most show an eventual good ending.

Just have to do a little toe dancing to line GHW Bush up with MABUS.......

The prophecies you read about are not prophecy because it already happened. What was written was about what was prophetic for that time. The prophecy is not in the writing. The prophecy is in what happened at that time and is then written. That does not make Nostradamus a prophet, no, but a writer.

I will admit that the French which Nostradamus spoke is very different than the French I speak, Canadian French, but I am also well versed with Parisian French as well, but the old form of French is still very different than the French spoken around the world today but is still able to be understood by anyone with a basic knowledge of the French language.

there are a few translations

“Mabus will soon die, then will come,
A horrible undoing of people and animals.
At once one will see vengeance,
One hundred powers, thirst, famine, when the comet will pass.

A horrible slaughter of people and animals.
At once vengeance is revealed coming from a hundred lands.
Thirst, and famine when the comet will pass.”

Mabus then quickly at this time will commit (mass) murder, there will come
Upon men & beasts, one horrible fate;
Then one shall see a coup of vengeance upon all,
There is a great taking (of lives), thirst, anger, when the comet shall pass.”

Nostradamus is a fraud just like 99% of the other so called prophets. No offense but no one has or will ever be able to predict anything in the future. Sorry OP not bashing you or your thread it's just that I can give no credibility to these anymore.

Some people believed the name referred to Bush and Osama bin laden combined as they were family friends. In that case the mass murder has been committed. The revenge yet to come.

Not trying to be a fear-monger, just trying to connect some dots that I see. 2013 should be a pretty tough year even if there are no man made/ instigated calamaties. The Solar maximum will cause all kinds of wreck to our weather systems, and we're seeing the beginning of it now I think. Once again, not trying to be a fear monger, just connecting the dots. I hope events don't go the way of an Apocalypse but I like to keep my guard up and at least one eye open at all times.

So.. could mess up our satellites huh? That would not be good!

Makes me wonder what else the Oort cloud will spit out in coming years?

And then of course we have a do not worry disclaimer at the end.

Of course, comets have a habit of not living up to expectations. This one could be sucked into the Sun during its close approach, or not grow as much of a tail as astronomers hope.

As to the OP....

We know the Quatrains read that a comet is to pass by.

Mabus??? Who knows.... Unless it is that guy in the link I provided. Ray Mabus, Secretary of the Navy and Middles East stuff... I don't know. Maybe he will be sending us to war? Im not sure what his position entails, don't know much about him either but I do know if he falls dead before this comet or any big comet my ears may perk up!

The Secretary of the Navy IS Ray "Mabus".

Mabus was one of the guys on Fat Albert.
