It means, "Soldier of Fortune", or "Mercenary".
"Mercenary" is "Mercury" the god of fortune.

Whenever you pray to "G-d" you are praying to Mercury/Hermes.

That's all very interesting, except Obama does not come from Hebrew heritage. He comes from African heritage.

"Bless Yahweh" means "bow down to Yahweh".
"The blessing of Yahweh" means "the curse of Yahweh".

The Masoretes destroyed the original versions of the Hebrew bible.
Major parts were redacted; interpolations added.
Changes were made substituting the name "Elyon" for "Yahweh".
The original script was replaced with Babylonian Aramaic which was renamed, "Modern Hebrew".

My first name means Broad Meadow. My last name means ready for battle... No conspiracy, names have lots of meanings in lot's of languages. It used to be common practice to give your children names with meaning, now we just kind of name our kids what ever. Usually something that sounds cool, after a famous person or relative.

I see no conspiracy here. Wasn't Barack Obama Muslim anyway? Look up a muslim meaning for his name, I'm sure you will find something much juicier there.

Yeah, right.... whatever. The facts are: Barack was named after his father. His father's birth was considered a blessing by his parents, so he was named Baraka, because his parents were Swahili, and in their native language, Baraka means blessing. I don't care about the bible here - it has nothing to do with Barack Obama. Have a nice day.
