I just had a thought. What if the government set this up and planned it out so we wouldn't be freaked about the end of the world and to get our minds off of it?

In order to find a correlation between 2 separate events, you kinda need to use 2 events that actually exist within reality.

I do agree 100% with you though on the cover up idea.

I also think that they are purposely desensitizing us to horrible stories of unthinkable destruction.
The more desensitized we become with our zombie movies and war porn, then more we will easily accept our total annihilation (probably by an army of well armed Humanzee's), we'll see.
