They do of course. Now does the US/West have to simply just sit there and take it when those Russian allies contentiously act aggressively to theirs or their Allies interests?

The West's allies (ally) in the region is the most aggressive of all nations.

I also highly doubt Iran has much say in Russian foreign policy. The same cannot be said for American foreign policy, which is pretty much controlled by the Israeli lobby!

I don't doubt both sides inflict violence against each other, it is just 'our side', namely America and Israel and their allies have been a lot more aggressive in recent years and we are reaching a stage in history where the larger powers are standing up to their actions.

This is why many think a WW3 scenario is possible.

Yep sure is a lot of dogma in this thread just pay no attention to Russian gunships over Syrian skies being piloted by Assad supporters.

Then pay no attention to Iranian military aid going to Assad either.

Assad is murdering his own people with help from Russia, and Iran.

Then there are middle eastern countries who have been helping the FSA, that is truth, also there are western military aid going to the FSA.

The current situtation in Syria is both east/west and their clandestined agencies playing both sides agianst the middle.

Anyone making out the Assad regime as a viciim is not being very intellectually honest.

Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirate, Turkey, Israel etc etc etc?

Right and this is why the US has refused to support Israel [ and many of Iran's neighbors] over the past decade on striking Iran. [Rhetoric aside]

I'd do a bit more reading about war by Proxy during the Cold war era. Regurgitating rhetoric by the "Larger powers" is the norm not the exception

Oh that's right! less then 50 miles from the valley is where the troops are gathering currently.

Now if only we had at least 22 different nations represented from all cultures and governmental systems from around the world, and perhaps some unsolvable issues that mankind seems to make worse and worse overtime, maybe some religious differences that fuel hatred and suffering around the world and also the means to exterminate all life on Earth over 40 times over... wait a minute!
