Multiple witnesses spot a strange UFO above Dos Palos, CA

A strange UFO was spotted by several witnesses above Dos Palos, California in early July 2012.

One witness managed to record the object on video for more than ten minutes. From this video, the aerial object appears to be a metallic-looking, sphere-shaped object with long, shimmery strands suspended below this sphere. Local Fox affiliate KMPH explored the possibility that this UFO was simply a weather balloon, but scientists from the National Weather Service said they “haven’t seen a weather balloon that looks like that ever.”

KMPH also sought the opinion of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding this UFO, but the FAA did not return the station’s calls.

its almost a 13 minute decent video; one of the best I've seen but there is a possibility the videographer was being pranked imvho

well it does look like a weather balloon.The sun reflecting on its side

But if the experts say its not one then i dont know.Dosent look like a "craft" even by ufo standards

Upon further investigation, it is definately a Mogul Balloon

If its a weather balloon from the 1950's they probably couldve gotten more than 13 minutes of video, been up there a loooong time....

Or it's simply a newer balloon with a design that is similar to the balloons of the 1950s.

What "scientists" at NWS did they speak to, especially when a few folks on ATS can find easy examples on the web in just a few minutes?

I am with Gortex on this. It is an everyday weather balloon. I see them ALL THE TIME here in central Arizona. Usually much, much, higher than that one though.
