Who remembers the huge green, "Bomb test", light in the sky years ago?

Id say maybe about 13 years ago. It was a green striped smoky light that many people saw one night. It was reported on the news and the media said it was a Bomb test, or something China was testing. If you cant remember maybe you didn't see it or you memories were erased.

See if anyone remembers to find out what exactly they were testing

Ya, I tried as well, found nothing similar

I remember a test where a rocket released some chemical above the atmosphere that glowed green so that science could be done on some meteorological effect. But I think that was only 7-10 years ago. And I don't remember China being involved specifically.

I remember those spiral videos I was amazed by them. Then I found out they were a group of people shooting projections in the sky which I think is still pretty cool

Nope thats not how it was, it just looked like a gasy green glowing chemical in the sky, seen from the pacific.

I think i remember what you're talking about! It was very weird and they mentioned how a city had dissapeared?
