Could it be... a number even more mysterious than Phi, Pi, or e?

Interesting.

Wau is a representation of 6 from early Phoenician Waw, which ends up in Hebrew as the letter Vav. Three Vavs are depicted on Monster Energy Drinks and on the Nike swoosh. Three Vav is 666, which defines the moto, "Release the Beast Inside." YHVH is Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey and is the name of the Lord in the Bible. Vav stands for hand, Hey stands for behold a great work and Yud is the nail. All of this is derived from the Proto-Canaanite language that ends up as our modern Hebrew. YHVH, as read from left right, stands for Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail. Wau pictures Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

If you take the tangent lines of the wau spiral at each of wau's convergents, they intersect at exactly floor(10^wau)! distinct points, where ! is the factorial function.

In 2042 the mathematician Friedrich Bauer conjectured certain intimate connections between wau and the Ackermann function. This is known today as Bauer's Little Wau Conjecture, or the "Little Bau-Wau Conjecture."

e^(i*wau) has proven to be neither transcendental nor algebraic.

Wau does not converge; however, the telescoping series wau + wau - wau + wau - ... converges to the value Miau, a number "too beautiful to be described using numbers."

William Shatner may play WoW, but Vi Hart plays WaU.

Wauie!
