CNN Now, about the latest substantial report I can find is around 15 May When his wife made a public plea.
Special Agent Stephen Ivens appeared to be distraught and may have been suicidal, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said, citing interviews with family members and evidence collected by investigators. She declined to elaborate.
CBS If I remember correctly I did read an article dated 17 MAY, if I can find it I will post. Besides that I can't find anything. Nothing at all. So this Federal Agent just up and disappears with his service pistol and investigators give no reason, they just claim he's suicidal? Now for almost a week no reports? So no major media outlet wants to cover a missing federal agent who supposedly just walked off into the mountains and we don't know why? I honestly didn't think it would take this long to play out. I will say that it is possible that Agent Ivens may have committed suicide and they have not found the body yet, this is a possibility. To me something is wrong here. There is something about this story that just doesn't feel right. I had that feeling when the story broke, and still feel the same way now.EDIT:Lets bring Steve home Facebook page
His wife wrote: “Steve, if you are out there listening right now, your wife wants to let you know, `Babe, we are in this together for better or for worse. I love you, no matter what happens.’ Your child wants you to know, `Daddy’s work? Daddy home?’

I concede that drug involvement is possible, especially since he was based in Los Angeles. But he reportedly worked in counter terrorism.

Yes very strange also a theory here i may add is he might of had his family threatened and decided to end it because of possible drug involvement ?
Fake his death perhaps for other purposes ?
I am only guessing here .
CNN
Ivens, who works on counterterrorism cases, was last seen by family Thursday night, a police statement said. His FBI-issued service revolver is also missing, Eimiller said.

I agree, something is fishy with this whole story. It feels like a coverup to me.
First off, I highly doubt the FBI would ever put this story out if it were indeed a "distraught" agent. Feels like a manipulation and false flag for some sort of coverup.

Lead-Driven Searches,,so if they here from someone,,they check into it.
ok,,thats negotiation.
So I'm taking it that they are giving up on the search. So after two weeks you all but give up on a search for a federal agent? Every part of this story is strange to me. A FBI agent is missing and there is very little media coverage on this? Something just doesn't seem right. As I've said before, maybe they really don't know why he up and left. Then the cynical part of me says"highly unlikely."
