since most of you here seem to believe in spirits, i had some questions regarding the spirit world.


Can it be accessed by us without having to die?

have any of you been there or know someone who has?

how do you get a spirit's attention and/or communicate with them?

so really, i'd like for you to share any information you have regarding the spirit world.

That's a whole lot of broad questioning. It sounds like you want a big picture sort of introduction to spirituality. The spirit world is definitely accessible to the living as we are also spiritual creatures.

Think of the difference as different tide pools that are separated by coastal rock and each inhabited by different species of sea denizens. None of the pools are stranger than another but, from the sea creatures' perspectives, the next pool over is esoteric and supernatural.

I'd recommend you perform some self-guided research and get a general scope of what you are looking for. Afterwards, your questions can be much more direct and the answers more helpful to you.

I can take a stab at these questions for you and give you my opinions, but they are just opinions. I could be totally crazy

I don't quite understand that question...or maybe it is the wording. If you mean can we see the spirit world without dying, I would say yes. Visions of the afterlife come in dreams and flashes when communicating with spirit world. You get little hints here and there.

Well, sort of. I know several people who have had NDE's. (Near Dearth Experiences) And I myself have had visions where I have stood on the other side while being shown some sort of information. But these are visions, and it is like your mind is there (on the other side) and your body is still sitting in a chair.

Well, that's the tough one. Really, if you wanted to, all you would have to do is get into some meditation and pick up some good books on psychic development and go from there. There is plenty of how to's, and most of them work. The real secret is in the meditation. Without it, spirit contact is very hard to catch or understand. You have to "know yourself" before you will know what is not you in communicating with spirit, because spirits come through the mental processes of the brain when they communicate. At least that is how it works for me.

all the replies are not going to be standard or codified; yet there are schools of philosophy that touch on this subject; even that is subjective to the persons perception of correlation.

the limited access you can have to the spirit world by different methods while you are alive is not true access as you have limits(in the sense of cognitive realization of being).
noone can quantify what you perceive as the "spirit world" but i have; like most people who dream nightly(or use other methods to enter intangible perceptible realities) entered an intangible reality.
you do not have the freedom to "get their perception directly" in those realities; some preset or talent could preclude that you receive attention from what u call "spirits" in those realms though.

Based on my lengthy Near Death Experience 15-20 mins flatline ....

I left my body and observed the people working on me .. I could hear their thoughts as well as words ..

So I'm thinking they hear and know what on our minds .. if they are around and not currently being recycled .

As I understand it any person can open his third eye and see such things as spirits. But it depends on their inborn quality(quantities of white and black substances taken with them from previous lifetimes) and it should not be pursued, the more one pursues it the less one will see as I understand it. If one pursues the third eye one might get spirit possession which is extremely dangerous.

In my opinion, becoming a good person is the most important thing. Respect higher powers and try to be a good person. You can read this book Zhuan Falun and learn MUCH, MUCH more about spirit possession, third eye, supernormal powers and how to become a good person etc:

There are several methods to contact that side many calls the spirit world. Some methods require deep attention and focus, some requires a faulty brain wiring, others require years and years of practice, and then there is that one method that can get anybody into the other side within two hours.

Spirit possession is just blatant scare propaganda to discourage people from contacting the spirit within. I believe once people start to reach for that other side, the other side will start attracting you. This is one of those things the dominating ones know, so they are trying to frighten us with nonsense. Most people fear the other side because of the jinns, spirits, demons and ghost awaiting. I didn't want anything to do with the other side before I sort of stumbled upon it, and now I have a message; on the other side supreme morality is preached, and nothing can take your body, mind or soul from you.

Becoming a good person though is crucial in all of life, choose love over fear!

I did not mean to scare people off from seeing the other side. But if one pursues it alot, someone will help you see but you don´t know what he is after and it is not your third eye that sees, it is he who reflects his pictures onto your brain and his vision comes from a low level. As I understand it in this universe there is absolute justice. If you get something from a spirit he will take something else from you, and as a human being you have many precious things that others want... You can cultivate and improve yourself but those on the other side can not do that.

There is an old saying: "It is easier to invite an immortal than seeing him off.."

I have seen people with spirit possession, it can be very frightening if it is an evil spirit who takes control of your mind an d you accept the spirit as your Master. That is why all the religions warn from these things. Where will you end up if you follow him?... Won´t you become a spirit?..

Hi OP, All the answers you are looking for i think can be found by studying the shamanic practices of ancient cultures literraly all over the world, and very mysterious in many aspects including, how all these cultures across the globe all talk about and describe very similar cosmologies and beiliefs without ever having contact with each other. Shamanism is the oldest spirtual practice in the world (minimum about 40,000 years old) and basically specialises in what your talking about. So to answer your questions....

there are numerous methods, but the main ones that are commonly found all over the world are, using hallucinogenics, using drumming techniques to induce a shamanic state of conscious in which you can travel to these worlds psychicly, and varying kinds of "self-torture" techniques such as the native american vision quests where you go into the desert and fast for a minimum of 3 days, in isolation in order to go into this shamanic state. but basically they usually involve some sort of endurance that may involve, fasting, dancing, long periods of isolation and sleep deprivation.

so really, i'd like for you to share any information you have regarding the spirit world.

Well as i said early nearly all over the world ancient cultures practiced and beilieved very similar things, although they may have different gods, and tradition and cultural differences, they can all be boiled down to basically the same beiliefs and practices the only difference being different cultural contexts. Micheal Harner has developed a system based on this which he calls "core shamanism"

Anyway, whats in the spirit world? well most cultures talk about 2 spirit worlds, the upper world and the lower world and our world in between the two all of which lie vertically on a world tree of cosmic axis that holds all the worlds together, sometimes this is a montain (like the ancient greek Olympus) but usually it's a tree. The upper world is where the gods live. The lower world is not a christian hell or anything, but it is the place where the souls of the dead reside along with our power animals, who are basically our spirit guides. Just to clarify, these uppoer and lower worlds are not physical, they are extra-dimensional, they are different dimensions that cannot be reached using rockets or tunneling equipment, we can only get their using our minds and brain. This is where the ancient astronaut theorists get confused when they read the old myths and legends.

The Scandinavian norse tradition (the tradition i specialise in) has a very interesting and vast cosmology that describe 9 different worlds. These worlds are, Asgard, (the upper world where a race of gods called the Aesir live, ruled by Odin who is the leader of the Aesir), Vanaheim, (where a second race of gods lives called the Vanir) Alfheim (where the light elves live) Jotunheim (where the giants live), Midguard, (which means "middle world" this is where we live), Swartalfheim (meaning dark elf world, there is a bit of confusion about this, but generally this is considered the world where the Dwarves live, they are master craftsmen, who have made lots of enchanted objects, such as thor's hammer, and have helped the Aesir several, although generally the two don't really like each other, the dwarves live underground in halls of stone) Muspellheim, the primal land of fire, where the fire giants, the most famous being Surt or Surtur, who is their leader and eldest of all beings) Niflheim (the land of primal ice and mist, this is where the frost giants live) and Helhiem (ruled by the goddess of death hel or hela, she rules the underworld where souls of the dead go when they die, that is unless the person was a hero in life and died a glorius death, then that soul goes to either Valhalla ruled by Odin or folksvang ruled by freya)

well that should satisfy your thirst for knowledge for now, if you want to read more about shamanism then i'd reccomend the books Supernatural by Graham Hancock (theres a good interview with him on coast to coast which u can find on youtube) Way of the Shaman by Micheal Harner (probably best to start with really as its a good introduction to shamanism and is quite practical too), Futhark: a handbook of rune magic by Edred Thorsson (if your interested in the norse side of things) and Shamanism: techniques of ecstasy by mircea eliade, which talks in detail about the different shamanic traditions all over the world.

As to people who are saying to be careful. I would say yes, be careful. It is true, it can get scary and can be outright painful when you do start to get real information and start to have real spirit contact.

If you are coming from a place of fear or anger, you will draw fear and anger. If you come from a place of love and happiness, that is most likely what you will get.

However, psychic information can HURT you. It is not all fun and games, so if you do decide to seriously look into this field, be prepared to experience other peoples baggage and their sorrows and pain.
Learning how to block it out or sort of dampen it down, is something I am still working on myself, and I have been experiencing this for years. I remember how to do it, then over time I get lazy and let my guard down and wham, I get hit with something painful.So be careful.

Also, TRUST yourself. When you start to experience spirit contact, the spirits will verify they are there through some sort of information that you could in no way possibly know. It can be almost anything, and you never know what it is, so always when you get something, write it down. Keep a psychic journal and watch what happens.

1. Yes.

2. Yes and Yes.

3. Intention, focus and energy. It is a sharing of thoughts, images, etc. Not easy to break down into easy to describe terms. And I'm no professed expert.

If you are genuinely interested in learning more, there are many great resources out there.

alright, good posts, very informative, i realize this was kind of vague...like asking someone to tell me about the universe lol.

1) It can be accessed in lucid dreams, meditation and from personal experience morphene.

2) I have seen the future where upon the disclosure of aliens, this world will be transformed into a new world paradise.
The air will be clean, lush green fields will surround us, blue skies and people will be given the chance to transform into anything they like from humans to bears to mythical creatures. This world will soon return to the days that it was during the days of Atlantas. Those who are spiritually minded will be able to fly.
However this same world will be seen as a dry, depressing, desolate wasteland surrounded by the fallen angels in their true decaying forms. The sky is black. The land is lit up by ley lines after the aliens switch the grid back on, where the ley lines are blue in the sky, red zig-zag lines on the ground and standing stones are yellow lines that connect the ground to the sky.

3) The spirits will come to you if they have a use for you.
The 11:11 Wake-up call is one method of communication where a technical minded spirit will attach to person of similar ilk and get them to see clock-times at random times during the day. From personal experience, nephil spirits will gladly give codes inside dreams if the host wants the codes to appear inside dreams.

Many spirits are bad. Don't trust them.

Imagine leaving your door open at night in a bad neighbourhood and going to sleep. Either nothing happens, or you will seriously regret inviting a negative entity into your life.



You don't want one of these evil spirits being invited into your life.

You need to learn to listen, and hear the subtleties they may respond with. It likely isn't going to be words, especially on your first try. Be very careful what you invite in your home or into you It's extremely difficult to make them leave if you gave them permission to begin with. There are many ways to contact/associate with spirits. You probably encounter them on a daily basis, some people just can not see, nor communicate with them. Try meditation, anything involving substances will be tainted with the substances themselves. You could try to learn automatic writing, remote viewing, obe's but a lot of time and dedication as well as necessary steps protection is involved. Once you open this door, it's not so easy to close it. Especially if you have the gift and just don't know it yet. We're all taught from birth to repress it.

so really, i'd like for you to share any information you have regarding the spirit world. You're living in it. The universe is exactly the same, the dimensions are what is different.
