Isn't it kind of strange that Rage Against the Machine seemed to be liberals?

Doesn't it kind of defeat their purpose?

"F**K you I wont do what you tell me!"

Making songs about how evil government is, but at the same time, hanging with people such as Michael Moore who would love to see every part of your life regulated in some way or another by government. Big supporters of socialism and a big government agenda.

Just doesn't make sense. Does it?

Not railing against their music or anything.

Carry on.

I'm pretty sure Zach at least was for pure democracy and ending poverty and oppression. If that's considered liberal, then I hope more people become liberal.

I second that & It's not surprising at all to me.
Actually it's always been the other way around.
RAM are for the people, which will always get you labeled
commies. The more you scare the machine, the more
they vilify you.
ATS is unusually rightwing for being
a meta-para site. Alex Jones and other AM radio
shock jocks did most of that work.

So right-wingers being into this stuff is a relatively
new phenomena. It's fear of Mexicans crossing the border,
Blacks wearing hoodies and more recently Obama eating Christian babies
that brought the majority of people to this site.

Well I want that too that would be great! Implementing these ideas however, when lots of people can care less, requires rules, requires regulations, requires more government, which usually ends up in more corruption.

I always did think it was weird there were so many right wingers on this site. I guess it's that paranoid, isolationist mentality. The message I always got from Rage were they were trying to destroy any oppressive system whether political or religious that promotes ignorance and intolerance. In the 90's, the face of that system was white collared conservative fat cats from the Reagan/Bush era. In my mind, the true enemy will always be the Ayn Rand-reading Capitalist Pigs who don't give a damn about anybody. Not that I'm anti-capitalist or pro-commie. But in the end, the machines of selfishness and greed will always be the enemy to man, no matter what the politics of it are.
