I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Here in Phoenix (in fact, most of Arizona) we are always on Mountain Standard Time. Daylight Savings never apply.
In my ATS account settings I have a choice of "Time Offset" from GMT. If I want to have the correct time displayed in forum posts during the summer,
I have to choose
(GMT -8:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) and change it to
(GMT -7:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada) for the other parts of
the year.
Many forums have the ability to select a timezone like
(Arizona/Phoenix MST) or a
"Use daylight saving time" checkbox option.
Since ATS is based out of Scottsdale, AZ, I would think that you more than most would appreciate this.
Note: In account settings, the display "Time Offset (GMT time is currently XX:XX XM)" is off by several hours. For instance, at the time of this
writing the field reads "Time Offset (GMT time is currently 11:52 AM)" while the actual GMT time is 4:52 PM.edit on 4/22/2012 by Shadoefax
