Wow what the heck is going on up there? This photo is startling at the least.

I know we have been on alert all day, and I am hoping to see some Northern Lights in Indiana again this year.

I am scared about the activity from the sun, the 2006 NASA solar storm warnings, and the Mayan Calendar. What comes next?

The flare also accelerated energetic protons toward Earth, triggering an S3-class solar radiation storm, in progress. Such a storm is mainly a nuisance to satellites, causing occasional reboots of onboard computers and adding noise to imaging systems. Solar flare alerts: text, phone.

From the looks of that photo, looks like the sun is just about to com bust and explode. Geesh, definitely looks fiery.

So do any of you think these solar storms can make people sick?

My daughter and I are suffering from migranes today...had them last time we had a big flare also.

I got a killer migraine too and nothing is helping, I also feel really drained and tried. About ready to go to bed. It's like very hard for me to read right now.

She's just having a stretch and a yawn, if you do need to be scared the signs in this world will be undeniable. Unless you're happening to see a blood red aurora all the way down to the tropics I wouldn't loose any sleep.

What would one look for on that site to determine if it's started? It's Greek to me.

OMG I have had a migrane for 2 days. I even posted a thread about it when I noticed me, my wife, and my brother-in-law all get headaches when solar flares are active.

I know it sounds old school but my grandma used to give us alkaseltzer for everything, and now I have some with aspirin in it, and I took one with a glass of water and it went away very quickly, not like my motrin IB which works awesome too. Tylenol is for paper cuts, and arthritis. Give it a try.

I don't know if my migraine is from the solar flares, never really kept up with checking to see if it was solar flare related.

I have about 3 bottles left, big ones, can't live without it!

Started keeping track of the flares several months ago, heard something mentioned about headaches etc.

Gnite!
