The Great Pyramid Reveals The Truth (?)

The title may be shady, but please bear with me. Your opinions, as the reader, may change or remain unchanged during the course of the thread, but I ask that you be civil while discussing the validity and implications of this topic, whether or not you believe it. Discussion is encouraged (as always).

During a conversation with a friend who is similarly interested in the blueprint of our universe, I was informed that The Keys of Enoch, a controversial book written regarding the nature and course of the universe...and by extension, our race...specifically mentions 2012 as a year when our species will be updated, upgraded, and generally evolved by force.

According to the author J.J. Hurtak and his colleagues, as written in the article by Paul White, the Great Pyramid has a "stone calendar" describing what is known as the Phoenix Cycles of our galactic orbit.

According to the "calendar in stone" of the Great Pyramid, which describes the so-called "Phoenix Cycle" of our galactic orbit, the present time period ends (converted to our present calendar) in the year 2012 AD. The Greek word PHOENIX, derived from the Egyptian word, PA-HANOK, actually means, "The House of Enoch".

The Enochian knowledge suggests, these regular cataclysmic changes act as an evolutionary agent provocateur, to quicken the resident life forms to the next evolutionary phase, prior to exodus from the womb planet. Human evolution may proceed more rapidly than previously thought. The evidence now appearing, records civilizations before us, who mastered the physical continuum and progressed beyond this world. There were also those who failed. We, too, have equal opportunity to make it or break it.

Please note that this comes from a man whose book, The Keys of Enoch, included many dubious assertions regarding our universe and its fundamental nature...assertions which have been slowly but surely verified through the efforts of our top scientists.

Additionally, the map referred to as the "calendar in stone" is this, a cross section of the pyramid:



While not the traditional version of the calendar that we see today and have noted as being used throughout history, certain mathematical processes, explained here ( Calendar of the Pyramid ) have transformed it from a cryptic structure into a sort of three dimensional calendar. If it was not designed for this purpose, then the numbers would not correlate as well as they do. Therefore, it stands to reason that there was a precise purpose to the structure of the pyramid...and that we may not know all of the secrets it holds.

It makes sense that such cryptic means be used to grant us information...a sort of series of tests, used to determine that we are indeed spiritually/intellectually mature enough to handle the revelations. Unfortunately, given the rather obscure nature of what is to come, we remain ignorant (deliberately?) to the coming changes. "You have to see it to believe it" sort of thing.

While my hopes are that this information is valid (despite lack of current developments to the affirmative) I will not force these ideas upon you. I merely hope that this is indeed true...

Otherwise, we are basically screwed as a race.

I have heard this claim about a calendar in the Great Pyramid that ends in 2012 many times now. I have never actually been able to find evidence of its existence. When I search for it I just keep coming up with New Age authors repeating the same thing without actually providing any sources for their claims.

It isn't so much a traditional calendar, as a calendar that is inferred when certain mathematical processes are applied. Admittedly, it sounds like extrapolation, and less than concrete, but the system actually works...especially when the civilization (or whoever) that constructed the pyramid is very cryptic about what they reveal.

I looked over the link. There isn't much there. Most is some discussion of making something understandable over the long haul.

I really enjoy connecting a few links in the creation of these pyramids and time.

It seems that the creators of these huge chambers wanted the future generations to solve something. Either it was a puzzle, or the true meaning of the pyramids, a calendar, or merely a sanctuary, these gigantic symbols were definitely meant to show all people as far as the eye can see, something. I believe that the original pyramid builders had a specific goal in mind, to give people a timeline of future events.

Now, with 2012 in full swing, we are hearing more and more theories of the world ending...
All these different cultures from around the world told of a similar fate.
These most recent findings are proving that the Egyptians may have known, also.
Not just the Chinese, Maya and Hopi Indians...but without communication, how did all these different people know about the relatively same date that the Earth would go through a huge change?
Did they all have common ancestors that passed the information from generation to generation?
Or did the information come from an outside source? Divine inspiration?
That's for the reader to decide.

But really, did all the ancients give us a nicely planned calendar of future cataclysmic changes?

I believe so.
And I believe it is being hidden from the general public.
As to not cause mass panic.

Are you certain that they wanted people to solve something? Maybe all they wanted to do is mark their own permanence or to show off for ever and ever.

Now, with 2012 in full swing, we are hearing more and more theories of the world ending...

I think that the tone has died down as things predicted have not come to fruition. I think that most people realize that this huge build up is ending with the roar of a chicken fart.

All these different cultures from around the world told of a similar fate.

No other cultures mark the date. The Mayans only have a calendar wrap. The claims of others and the claims about the Maya are without merit. They are modern fairy tales.

We will see who's right from and after Dec 21st. It would be nice to have something more spectacular than Venus phases.

Why wait till Dec 21? Can't the claim of the pyramids be tested?

I see so little there that I can't figure out why anyone would give this claim more than a few seconds of consideration.

Actually, there have been multiple civilizations long dead whose calendars indicated something big happening this year. Also, I would mention that so far, we've only just breached the third month of the year...don't assume that because nothing big has happened (besides thoroughly confusing weather and animals dying everywhere) nothing is going to.

Let's just wait and see. If nothing else, this gives people something to chew over instead of drifting brainlessly through life, doing not a thing more than surviving and enjoying the fruits of the flesh.

Yay! A new potential contestant for my challenge! Would you care to provide primary sources for these other prophecies? It's easy to merely restate the words of a New Age author but when it actually comes to time prove those claims it becomes a lot harder. Now I have posed this challenge to many people and not a one of them has been able to provide me with the information I'm looking for. All I require is a single legitimate prophecy that refers to 2012 made by an ancient civilization. With how many people make this claim this should be an easy feat.

Can you find one year that hasn't had confusing weather? Animal die offs have not happened where I live, nor within 500km of where I live. That is surprising in a sense since I live on a migratory path.
