As speculations over a possible strike on Iran's nuclear facilities grow, the Islamic Republic is exacerbating its rhetoric.
Deputy Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi on Friday warned Israel against mounting such an attack: "Any act by the Zionist regime against Iran will bring about its destruction.
Hezbollah, he added, "Is at the forefront of the fight against Israel and it is growing stronger by the day."
Speaking at a ceremony honoring past Hezbollah commanders, Vahidi said that "Israel is weaker than it has ever been and its army is tired and humiliated… This is why it is trying to solve its problems by talking about taking action against Iran. But these are ridiculous statements.
"Iran's warriors are ready and willing to wipe Israel off the map," he declared.
“The goal of arrogant powers is to save the Zionist regime [of Israel], but they will certainly not fulfill this wish of theirs, because the world has changed and their era has come to an end,” Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghusn in Tehran on Sunday.
“The Zionist regime is an evil and inhumane creature that will massacre all regional nations if it is given the opportunity,” Ahmadinejad said.
The Iranian President further expressed confidence that a “just and humane order” will prevail in the world in future in place of the current rule established by arrogant powers.
For his part, the Lebanese defense minister hailed the resistance of the Iranian nation against Israeli aggressions saying that today Tel Aviv will think twice before attempting an invasion anywhere in the world for fear of the Islamic Republic.
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi underlined Tehran's determination to provide all-out support for Lebanon against the foreign countries and terrorists' threats, and also stressed that the Lebanese Army should be reinvigorated to the same end.
"Strengthening the Lebanese Army is one of the strategic policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon should have a powerful Army to defend its interests in the region," Vahidi said in a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Fayez Ghosn in Tehran on Sunday.
He described Ghosn's visit to Iran as a good opportunity for the expansion and development of defense cooperation with Lebanon, and said, "We consider Lebanon's stability and protection of its security an important constituent of regional stability."
In 2010, Vahidi had also underlined Tehran's preparedness to equip the Lebanese Army with the necessary military tools and weapons.
"If they (Lebanese) demand, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide the country with their needed arms for defending Lebanon's borders," Vahidi said in an interview with the Arabic Language Al Alam network at the time.
"The Army of Lebanon is our friend and is in a region that is under the Zionist regime's pressure and threat," Vahidi noted.
Also, Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi said in 2010 that Tehran is prepared to arm the Lebanese Army, and added, "If Lebanon officially calls for Iran's help to equip its army, Iran will feel honored to help Lebanon's army."
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement warned about the dire consequences of Israeli aggressions against the Quds city, and said that the Zionist regime's new wave of violence against the Palestinian residents of the occupied al-Quds has sparked a new Intifada (popular uprising).
"Current clashes in the occupied Quds city are the beginning of a popular Intifada against the occupiers," Foad al-Razam told FNA on Sunday, and urged the Muslim Ummah (worldwide Muslim community) to rise to save the al-Aqsa mosque from Israeli aggressions.
"The repeated attempts by the Zionists last week to attack the al-Aqsa mosque and its sacrilege will provoke the feelings of Muslims all over the world, specially the feelings of the Palestinian residents of the Holy Quds," he added.
His remarks came after the Palestinians' Friday prayers, when Israeli police clashed with Palestinians at the al-Aqsa Mosque, killing one protester and injuring at least 15 people.
Confrontations have been ongoing since dozens of Israelis entered the al-Aqsa compound, one of Islam's holiest shrines, and scuffled with the Palestinian worshippers last Sunday.
Since the occupation of the Quds city, Israel has been trying to change the identity of the city through different measures, including building illegal settlements for Israelis, eviction of Palestinians and demolition of their houses.
A senior Palestinian journalist had earlier in an article stressed that protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque from fanatic Zionist Jews is a vital responsibility of every Muslim.
The wave of Islamic Awakening sweeping across the Arab World has so far toppled four of the dictatorial regimes and is about to bring down more with the people’s trust in God and the vociferous cries of “Allah-o Akbar” that have unnerved the US and the illegal Zionist entity called Israel.
There must be a sense of brotherhood among us. We must strive to specify our goal, that is, the goal of Islam. The goal is the rule of the Qur’an and of Islam. Of course, there are certain differences and similarities among Muslim countries. There is no single paradigm that fits all Islamic countries. In different countries, there are different geographic, historical and social conditions, but there are also certain shared principles: all of us are opposed to the arrogant powers, all of us are opposed to the evil hegemony of the West; all of us are opposed to the cancerous tumor, Israel.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called the current century “the century of Islam and spirituality”, and said that it is Islam which grants intellectuality, spirituality and justice to mankind. He added: “We must move forward. This movement is a successful movement because the prospects are bright. By Allah's favour, there will be a day when the Ummah will reach the peak of power and independence, and thus, irrespective of their trivial differences, Muslims should come together under the banner of Islam unity in order to regain their dignity.

Who is destroying Israel?? No one. That is the point. There was point to the Nazi's as far as War is concerned. The reason we got the Atom bomb had a lot to do with Nazi Scientists. The reason we have a lot of the Weaponry is because of Nazi Engineers. The Brain drain so to speak is in the Arab and Asian World now. Most of the higher Education in the US is dominated by Arab and Asians. Not sure if you have noticed. Anyway, it may just be a secondary benefit besides the obvious, Oil, Religion, Land Grab, etc.

Do we have any proof that Iran even has a nuke? I don't think so. And if they have one at all, wouldn't it be rather stupid to use that one bomb on Israel knowing there will be retaliation that will result in a gaping whole on the map where Iran used to be? A silly notion, really.
Either they are bluffing to put fear in Israel, or this is a bunch of propaganda....once again.
No spin is really necessary....lol
