From what I have heard, this is common in Egypt where people have the option of paying victims families to sway sentencing, and also where it is not hard to find a poor person who would take the fall for something.

Not to say that is the case here, but who knows

That may be true in other cases, but not this one. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, better known as the "Underwear Bomber" is the son of a prominent Nigerian banker. Umar is from a materially comfortable background, but deeply alienated and unhappy. His father, the banker, warned the CIA about his son Umar's increasing radicalization. It appears the CIA did nothing.

What it probably did was alert the American intelligence community that Umar was ripe for their use.

I suspect they set up a sting operation whereby they recruited Umar thru people who appeared to be "al Qaeda" agents.

When I heard this on MSM this morning I thought false flag just to keep the War on terror in our minds.

The War on Terror is a war that will last forever

To TPTB the perfect war is an endless war.

A Congressional hearing found that the government allowed him to board the plane. What more proof do people need that it was a false flag attack? It's not even debatable at this point.

Lets examine your little conspiracy fantasy........

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian, boarded Virgin Nigeria Flight 804 at Accra Airport in Accra, Ghana and arrived at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria. Eight days earlier at the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines office in Accra, Ghana, he had paid $2,831 in cash for his Lagos-Amsterdam-Detroit round-trip ticket with a January 8, 2010, return date. Abdulmutallab left Lagos on Christmas Eve at 11:00 p.m. aboard KLM Flight 588, a Boeing 777 bound for Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, on Christmas Day, Abdulmutallab checked in for Northwest Airlines Flight 253 to Detroit with only carry-on luggage. On March 24, 2011, the Associated Press reported that Abdulmutallab chose to attack Detroit because the plane ticket there was the least expensive out of tickets to potential targets, which included Chicago and Houston. Initially, it was rumored that Abdulmutallab tried to fly to Detroit because it was a major hub of the U.S. automotive industry.

Boarded KLM plane in Lagos, Nigeria after first flying in from Accra Ghana

KLM flight to Amsterdam airport (Schipol) where boarded connecting Northwest - Delta flight to Detroit

Now where in this little scenario did he set foot on AMERICAN soil (at least before arrested in Detroit)

Security at this airports is the responsibility for the host country

So who is responsible for the screwups......

In prepared remarks at the same hearing, National Counterterrorism Center Director Michael Leiter stated: “Within the intelligence community we had strategic intelligence that Al Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula [AQAP—the terrorist group in Yemen with which Abdulmutallab was in contact] had the intention of taking action against the United States prior to the failed attack on December 25th, but we did not direct more resources against AQAP, nor insist that watch-listing criteria be adjusted prior to the event.” He added that US intelligence analysts “did not push [Abdulmutallab] onto the terrorist watch-list.”
So even though the government was warned of and completely aware of his association with terrorist groups, they didn't put him on the watch-list or whatever. Then, somehow, without a passport, a man in a tan suit allowed him to board the plane.

But I'm the delusional one living in conspiracy fantasy land for seeing something seriously wrong with that picture.

What did the man in the tan suit do? Did he use his Al CIAda hypnosis to allow him to board the plane? Did he release some toxic nerve gas from his wristwatch that made her go into a date-rape like state and let him board the plane? Or was it just a member of the government saying "Let this man board the plane, he's a CIA asset" or something like that?

Nah, I'm just a paranoid conspriacy theorist. I mean the government has quite the history of failing to prevent terrorist attacks, they were also warned about a terrorist attack involving hi-jacked airplanes prior to 9/11, but they didn't do anything about that either.

Kurt Haskell Exposes Government False Flag

... I witnessed Umar dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt, being escorted around security by a man in a tan suit who spoke perfect American English and who aided Umar in boarding without a passport. The airline gate worker initially refused Umar boarding until the man in the tan suit intervened...

... The officers that boarded the plane did nothing to ensure our safety and did not check for accomplices or other explosive devices... there was no concern for our safety even though Umar told the officers that there was another bomb on board as he exited the plane. I wondered why nobody was concerned about our safety, accomplices or other bombs and the lack of concern worried me greatly.

I immediately told the FBI my story in order to help catch the accomplice I had seen in Amsterdam. It soon became obvious that the FBI wasn’t interested in what I had to say, which upset me further.

For one month the government refused to admit the existence of the man in the tan suit before changing course and admitting his existence in an ABC News article on January 22, 2010. That was the last time the government talked about this man...."

I believe Kurt Haskell's testimony. Officials were not concerned about another bomb on board or accomplices -- incompetence or complicity?

To me the most chilling part of the story is that the FBI had no interest in the man in the tan suit. Talk about a red flag that something is wrong with this picture.

The description given is of an accomplice.

There is no proof, anywhere in this statement that the accomplice was from the US, although speaking english is a good indicator.

Also, where is the proof that this accomplice was working for any governmental agency?

There should be cameras in the airport that would have pictures of this accomplice, where are the photos?

Perhaps the man in the tan suit was another Israeli posing as a CIA agent. Again....

Also, has anyone ever listened to Bibi Netanyahu...? he speaks better than some where I live!

What paranoia?

I was responding to the quote:

I was simply pointing out that there are different motivations for different people. There are a list of possibilities of what actually happened in this case.

Yes, it looks like he was manipulated but we don't know the full story and probably never will.

That's my feeling on it too. It's already too late to fight against the NWO Machine.

The young are being indoctrinated to support the coming NWO.

They think the coming "One World Federation" is a good thing -- that it will solve all the problems of the world. They haven't the imagination to foresee this will be the worst kind of tyranny in mankind's known history.

It's Kali Yuga, a long cycle of evil where the majority are morally lost. We are in the Dwapara subcylce where there is an expansion of technology, but that technology will not be used for good purposes by TPTB. That technology will be used to enslave or destroy the masses.

Most of the New Agers are so naive.

But I also believe in eventual Divine Justice: "The mill of the Gods grind slowly but they grind exceedingly fine."

He believes this incident was setup by the feds to tighten security and install airport scanners, and pretty much begin the process of enstating martial law.

I'd heard the "incident" was created by the CIA.

The State Department, wanted this underwear bomber taken off the plane BEFORE he boarded. The CIA were the ones who ASKED that he be allowed on the plane. They have this authority in the case of "ongoing investigations." The Press, by the way, was wrong; he DID have a passport.

The Underwear Bomber's dad was a man who asked on many occasions that they do something about his son because he feared he was mentally unstable. AFTER this incident, he helped the CIA with some operations in Yemen.

It's interesting to note that the failed bomber was given a hard to get explosive, and wasn't even informed on how to detonate it. Yeah, this stinks to high heaven of a BOGUS attack.

Then we bought million dollar microwave scanners from the company owned by the former head of security -- the revolving door apparently a blur in the security industry.

Later, the Senator who was in charge of investigating the Christmas "underwear" Bomber incident, had her office bugged by the same crack Fox News/CIA team that pretended to be pimps getting advice at ACORN (even though they didn't wear these costumes or identify themselves this way when actually TALKING to the ACORN reps).

>> I usually look for the FBI handler on every crazed loon who blows up a bomb just before it's time to sign some bills. In this case, it was a troubled kid handled by the CIA.

Look folks -- I was aware that the Underwear Bomber was a False Flag about 1 month after the incident. There was a ton of background on this that never made it to the press. Of course nothing is going to come of it because the Press works for the status quo. The Justice department is non-functional unless you steal an MP3 song. The CIA only functions to make sure anyone standing in the way of capitalism dies in a small plane accident.

It's going to continue this way until crony capitalism kills more than the Gulf of Mexico -- something that REALLY causes problems we can't just shrug off. Until then, we will continue lurching towards our destruction as a thousand and one parasitic Economic Royalists continue gaming our system. Terrorism is merely a mechanism to get the Blank Checks from Congress -- or to prevent some State from actually paying attention to the Bill of Rights.

Whis is this breaking news?

Haskell has been interviewed many times in the past. He is an attorney from Detroit who witnessed the Xmas bomber being lead on to the plane with no passport by a CIA operative.

Couple things to remember this incident initiated the TSA patdowns/gropes/rapes etc, - of course it was a false flag! During the court process Umar indicated that he would be defending himself & would be calling only 1 witness in his defense - that witness was Kurt Haskell. The following day - the government indicated that they had reached a plea bargain with the defendant & would not seek the death penalty. lmao

Thanks.

Can you BELIEVE the type of responses people give. It really saddens me.

A comment:

I agree. Being retired military, I know that some things need to be shielded from the public. Mr. Haskel Is just using the opportunity to his advantage. Why make such a big deal out of this nonsense? Why challenge openly the person who keeps changing his story? Hes changing it to protect you and your family, Mr. Haskel. As well as all of ours. In fact, Im a bit pissed you posted this. These terrorists wont hesitate to use you and your family as a means to get attention from the media. These folks will trade you off like a mortgage to the highest bidder and if they dont get the money theyre after, youll be filmed losing your head and posted on some sick website somewhere. These are terrorists. They arent here to steal gumballs out of the local gumball machine- they are here to kill, and the more impact they can get, the better. The man in orange was more than likely shuffled off because he was a "High Value Asset" and possibly a link to many more valuable assets. I think going public and making such a stink out of this may have ruined an opportunity for the FBI to nail some even bigger fish. Mr. Haskel- step aside. Theres more important issues at hand than your ego. Get off the stage, the show is over. The FBI & CIA know exactly what they are doing and have thwarted "MANY" attack attempts just like this one. www.mlive.com...

It's just displays a total lack of critical thinking.

Kurt Haskell Exposes Government False Flag

"I wish to thank the Court for allowing me these 5 minutes to make my statement. My references to the government in this statement refer to the Federal Government excluding this Court and the prosecution. On Christmas Day 2009, my wife and I were returning from an African safari and had a connecting flight through Amsterdam. As we waited for our flight, we sat on the floor next to the boarding gate. What I witnessed while sitting there and subsequent events have changed my life forever. While I sat there, I witnessed Umar dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt, being escorted around security by a man in a tan suit who spoke perfect American English and who aided Umar in boarding without a passport. The airline gate worker initially refused Umar boarding until the man in the tan suit intervened. The event meant nothing to me at the time. Little did I know that Umar would try to kill me a few hours later as our flight approached Detroit. The final 10 minutes of our flight after the attack were the worst minutes of my life. During those 10 minutes I sat paralyzed in fear. Unfortunately, what happened next has had an even greater impact on my life and has saddened me further."

"When we landed, I was shocked that our plane taxied up to the gate. I was further shocked that we were forced to sit on the plane for 20 minutes with powder from the so called bomb all over the cabin. The officers that boarded the plane did nothing to ensure our safety and did not check for accomplices or other explosive devices. Several passengers trampled through parts of the bomb as they exited the plane. We were then taken into the terminal with our unchecked carry on bags. Again, there was no concern for our safety even though Umar told the officers that there was another bomb on board as he exited the plane. That was the last time the government talked about this man. The video that would prove the truth of my account has never been released. I continue to be emotionally upset that the video has not been released. The Dutch police, meanwhile, in this article (show article), also confirmed that Umar did not show his passport in Amsterdam which also meant that he didn’t go through security as both are in the same line in Amsterdam. It upsets me that the government refuses to admit this fact."

He believes this incident was setup by the feds to tighten security and install airport scanners, and pretty much begin the process of enstating martial law.

After reading the story, it does seem to be very genuine. Whether it's true or not is hard to say, but I'm not quick to rush to judgement. We know that subsequent events after 911 made it very easy for the government to continue to erode away the consitution, and we know they are capable of doing so.

Also, if you're wondering why Kurt made this statement check this previous thread for further enlightement:

Kurt Haskell claims FBI coverup
edit on 16-2-2012 by v1rtu0s0 because: (no reason given)
This is another case where "witness(s)" are given low priority and dismissed from Official Investigations. We saw it in the investigation of JFK's assassination and all Govt. investigations since. It's obvious this practice is now the norm and is only one of the many aspects of a professional fact finding process. To attain truth from half truths and or no truths at all, requires the "fact Finding Process" and the "Scientific Method" to establish proof. Rarely do we see this practice employed in investigating cases of high magnitude of public interests. There always seems to be the lack to pursue logical courses of investigation. Often when evidence is contrary of the Official Determination by our servants, we are alarmed by their intention to avoid the questioning aspects of society. This only fuels the distrust people feel nationally. Truth is no longer determined by "Facts" as essential but are "Politicalized" by those we elect and entrust with our future. By doing such only creates division and anger and threatens our Democracy. To return to past successes will only be done when the people demand "truth."
