I have to disagree with the interpretation of Daniel. Of course, we will know fairly soon wether or not you are correct.

The first half of this chapter deals with Antiochus E. and his deranged wars in the region. History makes a perfect parallel with the entire passage. However, the focus then shifts in verse 35- poiting us toward the future, and transitions completely in 36.

There are some excellent treatises on the Historical accuracy of Daniel's prophecy to Antiochus in the first 34 verses.

I have a major interpretive problem. Revelation is divided into 3 sections, the things that were, the things that are, and the things that are to come. Since the anti-christ is mentioned in the "things that are to come section" Nero is already in the past.

I also come from the Futurist, as opposed to the pre-terist view of eschatology.

I have to admit that the term AntiChrist (in calling John Edwards the possible AntiChrist) is not correct.

'man of perdition' is the actual proper correct term.

It should read:

But seriously - I was really struggling to understand how you made your predictions based on the passages you quoted. It doesn't fit or make sense at all. I would be interested in hearing HOW you came to your conclusions!

With all due respect, if you used the book of Daniel that way in a university history course, you wouldn't even pass. You have taken it out of context.

I will bet my soul that Bush will be president in the next term. Kerry will not. John Edwards is not the anti-Christ. He's a lawyer schmuck. If John Edwards is the anti-christ, then Mr. Rogers was the whore of babylon.

And for the Anti-Christ, I think that anybody that cause harm in the world in massive scale in which thousands of people die should be call indeed the anti-Christ.
