Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.

At first I thought this was another rumor, as celeb death notices have been a'twittering' lately, but this one appears to be true.

One more voice in the heavenly choir, a tremendous voice as well.

I only just read a news article on her yesterday.

She was spotted coming out of a club pretty late, looking a little worse for wear, with a scratch mark on her.

Pretty sad, as it shows you just how fragile life can be..

I remember her from the 80's, great voice, rough ride with Bobby Brown.

Damn shame.

I too was surprised having seen the article you mentioned just yesterday. Seeing it posted twice on the New Topics page I guess it is real. Wiki confirms it too.

I wasn't particularly a fan of her genre but she did have a great voice and unlike many artists since, she wasn't one of those scantily clad booty waving bimbos like Jay Lo and all the rest since.

She may have had her personal problens in the past, but that takes nothing away from her singing skills.

No but really what a waste of talent after she hooked up with ....bobbeh.

For someone to pass away so young...it is disturbing and sad. I know Whitney had her problems...but these last years...from what I have heard...she was trying really hard to pull it together again. You know...Dionne Warwick is Whitney's Aunt.

Rest in peace...Whitney Houston....you will live on with us through your music.

Whitney sang the National Anthem better than any other. I get goose-bumps everytime I hear her sing it.

She was truly one of the greatest singers of ALL time.
