Israel launches 'deadly air strike' on Gaza

An Israeli strike has killed at least two Palestinians in northern Gaza close to the border, the occupied territory's health ministry said.

"We recovered one martyr and two other people with injuries after the air raid carried out by occupation aircraft in Beit Hanoun," Adham Abu Selmiya, a government official, told the AFP news agency on Wednesday.

One of the injured, who was in critical condition, later succumbed to his wounds.

Palestinian security sources said the raid hit a field used by Hamas.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the target was "a terrorist squad that was attempting to place an explosive device by the security fence" in the second such incident this year.

She said an Israeli aircraft and the armoured corps had fired at the squad, and the device that they were trying to plant had exploded.

In 2011, there were "approximately 30 such incidents", she said.

The often tense border between the coastal territory and Israel has been calm in recent days, after an increase in rocket fire from Gaza and Israeli attacks in December.

It's certainly fair to say Israel has a serious overkill problem when it comes time to return some thumps for what Hamas gives THEM on a daily basis...but lets not keep playing like Israel is the heavy here and Palestinians are sweet, innocent babes in the woods at the mercy of evil Jews in the IDF. Palestinians murder MORE than their fair share of Jewish civilians, as well. We have a situation there where BOTH sides wear black hats and there isn't a decent person to be found within the leadership or forces of either player.

The IDF weren't bored they were too busy planning their next campaign. The Mexican cartels have been spilling American blood in the Southwest for decades now and the White House isn't doing a thing about it, in fact, the Americans have been providing them weapons (fast furious). Israel DID NOT become a country just because "some other countries approved it to be". lol Israel became a country, because the people in that particular area wanted a country called Israel and they made it happen. It's just that simple.

Your map is outdated, habibi. There's no Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip anymore. The Strip has been entirely Palestinian since at least 2005.

Do you even know what the UN Partition Plan of 1947 is all about? The plan where there's an Arab and Israeli state living side by side while Jerusalem is administered by the UN? Well apparently, the Arabs rejected the plan and invaded Israel as soon as Israel declared independence. The Arabs lost the war AND lost land, too. You want to cry about it? And if Jordan didn't enter the war in 1967, the West Bank including East Jerusalem would still be under Jordanian control today.

IMAGINE for a moment: The Arab countries accept the Partition Plan in 1947 and commit to peace with Israel( or Jews). Not only would Palestine exist, but Israel would be a lot smaller. So to answer your second question: The Palestinians( or Arabs at the time) wanted it, but they didn't want Israel or Jews there. And since 1947, the Arabs have reaped what they sowed.

Now back to the thread topic, Israel( just like every other country) has a right to patrol its own borders and it WILL. If you think otherwise, then you're living on a different planet...

Now that latest unjustified attack on the Gazans upsets good Christians and Muslins so please don't feel you have to some way to defend criminal acts. You are free to do so but if you can take a moment to read the real history of Zionism and the tricks the Zionists have used to fool the world you might join us in fighting Zionism.
