Is the Rune Alphabet Related To Paleo-Hebrew?

I was watching a video about the Hebrew alphabet and noticed in the drawings of the Paleo-Hebrew, that there was something familiar, as though I had seen it somewhere before and remembered that I had seen the Rune Alphabet and noticed similarity between the two.

Here is the Rune Alphabet

And here is the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet

The Hebrew letters we see took shape during the time of the exile to Babylon, the letters in which Amos transcribed the books he had that eventually were included in the Bible.

Here is a very good video about the alphabet.

Hebrew reads right to left, and Vikings read the Rune Alphabet as we do, left to right, the same as the Romans and Greeks did.

And something else struck me as similar, one letter is called Kenaz, and I had remembered that was in the Bible, and it is the name of three individuals...

Kenaz or Knaz - hunter - is the name of several persons in the Hebrew Bible. קְנָז "Hunter", Standard Hebrew Knaz, Tiberian Hebrew Qənaz / Qənāz A son of Eliphaz and a grandson of Esau. He was an Edomite leader. (Genesis 36:11, 15, 42). He may have been the ancestor of the Kenezites. Caleb's younger brother, and father of Othniel (Josh. 15:17; Judg. 1:13; 1 Chr. 4:13), whose Judahite family was of importance in Israel down to the time of David (1 Chr. 27:15). Nothing more is said of Kenaz in the Hebrew Bible, but Pseudo-Philo (written c. AD 70) makes this Kenaz the first judge of Israel after Joshua, and includes several chapters of narrative about his supposed judgeship of 57 years. Caleb's grandson. (1 Chr. 4:15)

But what is even more interesting is that while the Runes are supposed to reference trees and Norse Gods, there is also one rune letter for Ash...we know one of the descendants of Noah, called Ashkenaz, settled in Europe and is the basis for Ashkenazi Jew, or the Jewish person living in Europe.

The meaning of the name Kenaz is Bright The origin of the name Kenaz is Hebrew

Kenaz – Literally: “Torch” – Esoteric ‘Ken’ or Knowledge Key Concepts: torch as a symbol of knowledge and intellect, illumination, searching for enlightenment, shedding light on matters, quest for truth, skills and abilities, creativity, art, craftsmanship, cunning, acquisition and application of knowledge, occult female secrets, intuition, enthusiasm in teaching/learning, study, kin-fire, opportunity, playfulness

It is important to understand the symbology. The judges in the Bible were to use intellect and knowledge, knowledge is understood in our time, that we derive from the ancient concepts, is to be enlightened. I do not think this Rune Alphabet just simply came about by those people who worshiped nature.

The Rune letter Ash means god. We know that in the ancient world, one of the goddesses worshiped was Ashtoroth, or could it be Ash-toroth? This became Ishtar the world is more familiar with. Many Rune Alphabet users apply the letter to Odin, and reverse is Loki.

We have two letters Ash and Kenaz, if we put them together, they become Ashkenaz, which would mean God of Kenaz, or God of Light.

OK, OK, so you will say to me the letters are in different orientation, but suppose that is just the way the particular person wrote it, and it became stylized. Is that possible? Yes, we do it today. Now suppose this, the Vikings may have been the original Sea Peoples that invaded Egypt.

The Sea Peoples were a confederacy of seafaring raiders of the second millennium BC who sailed into the eastern Mediterranean, caused political unrest, and attempted to enter or control Egyptian territory during the late 19th dynasty and especially during year 8 of Ramesses III of the 20th Dynasty.[1] The Egyptian Pharaoh Merneptah explicitly refers to them by the term "the foreign-countries (or 'peoples'[2]) of the sea" (Egyptian n3 ḫ3s.wt n p3 ym[3][4]) in his Great Karnak Inscription.[5] Although some scholars believe that they invaded Cyprus, Hatti and the Levant, this hypothesis is disputed.[6]

OK, so the Vikings came much later...but suppose they were not called the Vikings yet. But even so, the Vikings did raid very far from their immediate neighbors...

Runestones attest to voyages to locations such as Bath,[11] Greece,[12] Khwaresm,[13] Jerusalem,[14] Italy (as Langobardland),[15] London,[16] Serkland (i.e. the Muslim world),[17] England,[18] and various locations in Eastern Europe.

My theory is this, the Rune Alphabet is the same as Paleo-Hebrew.

ETA: A new discovery...the Rune Alphabet is the child of Pheonician. en.wikipedia.org...

Brilliant.

I figured this out about 3 years ago when I was looking at the Shield of David.

The Viking link came much later (IMHO) when the Diaspora occurred during the Assyrian captivity.

The Sea peoples were most likely the displaced people of Santorini when Thera blew up. There is a letter from the King of the country (now known as Turkey) to the pharoah Amenhotep 3rd, father of Ankhenaten, saying that a coastal village had been swept away by the sea, 30 years before Akhenaten came to power.
So this volcanic event caused the displacement of the Minoans, who already had trading relations with the Egyptians. There was a village that was totally abandoned on Santorini about 30years before the main volcanic event of Thera. These people are thought to be the 'Sea peoples' or the 'Philistines'.

The Vikings are thought to be the tribe of Benjamin. I married one and he totally looks like a viking. Benjamin was a big drinker apparently, as he was of a bigger build. It took more beer to get him drunk.

One day we will have all the correct knowledge and I am looking forward to that day.
Peace

Really cool! So, would this be like one of the earliest known universal alphabets? I may have something really odd to add here. Would have they known this in the times of Abraham and also in the times Jesus was born?

Paleo-Hebrew and Runic have their roots in Phoenician, and it appears that simply by one of the runes called Kenaz, and Kenaz appearing in only one other language, it would seem the Rune Alphabet is actually a retelling of the flood story and naming their ancestor Kenaz,

In the rune alphabet, their letters are indeed telling a story. They have the words...big water journey..and they mention two different types of trees. But the name of Kenaz is the clincher for me, he is the ancestor of northern Europeans. The people who made the Rune Alphabet were telling us their history.

When people used the word god, it meant a spirit. You see that concept in the Bible, the Witch of Endor said she saw "gods ascending and descending" and Saul asked her to call Samuel. When Joseph and Daniel were called to interpret, their leaders both said the men had "the wisdom of the gods", so these men had a direct connection to the spiritual realm and understood mysteries. I will always apply the word gods to spirits, because to me that is what they are, spirits.

I found this guy online, and I really don't know much about Nordic Mythology, but something about this guy seemed familiar..his name is Heimdallr...

In Norse mythology, Heimdallr is a god who possesses the resounding horn Gjallarhorn, owns the golden-maned horse Gulltoppr, has gold teeth, and is the son of Nine Mothers. Heimdallr is attested as possessing foreknowledge, keen eyesight and hearing, is described as "the whitest of the gods", and keeps watch for the onset of Ragnarök while drinking fine mead in his dwelling Himinbjörg, located where the burning rainbow bridge Bifröst meets heaven. Heimdallr is said to be the originator of social classes among mankind, once regained Freyja's treasured possession Brísingamen while doing battle in the shape of a seal with Loki, and Heimdallr and Loki are foretold to kill one another during the events of Ragnarök. Heimdallr is additionally referred to as Hallinskiði, Gullintanni, and Vindlér or Vindhlér.

I wanted to know what Ragnarok was...

In Norse mythology, Ragnarök (typically spelt Ragnarǫk in the handwritten scripts) is a series of future events, including a great battle foretold to ultimately result in the death of a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki), the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the subsequent submersion of the world in water. Afterward, the world will resurface anew and fertile, the surviving and reborn gods will meet, and the world will be repopulated by two human survivors. Ragnarök is an important event in the Norse canon, and has been the subject of scholarly discourse and theory.

He is describing the Apocalypse, he is a watcher that blows the trumpet at the beginning of the Apocalypse. If the legend says he is a watcher, we can find that in the Bible and the Book of Enoch. There are so many things going on here, it will take some time to get through it, but there seems to be a lot of reference found in Hemidallr and the Book of Enoch. It appears his Apocalypse is the flood story, and if it is, the Rune alphabet is telling that story.

Considering that when the Assyrians invaded in 740-725 B.C.E. in a series of raids and carried off alot of Israelites to every corner of the assyrian empire i'd say it's a pretty damned good chance some of them went on an adventure and got lost somewhere in Europe.

I've heard accounts that stonehenge may be connected to Daniels prophecy and that the 4 beasts are carved into the megaliths and the word "Brittish" in hebrew means "covenant keepers" or "oath keepers" which some people theorize the brittish and their american cousins are decended from Manasseh or Gad. The interesting thing is how similar the english language is to paleo-hebrew as well. Check this:

Some people began to believe in British Israelism, that denied the Jews existence still in Israel. But we know the Jews were scattered, and wherever they went, you know they, for the most part, kept their traditions. The Marrano Jews were those in Spain and Portugal who converted to Catholic to not be killed by the Catholic church and some of those Marrano Jews became sailors who landed in the Americas.

One of the more interesting groups of people are the Melungeon of Tennessee and Virginia. They were and are a group of people that were distinctly not Native American, yet lived in the area of the Cherokee. After research of these people, and they themselves saying they are "Portugee", yet not speaking Portuguese or retaining and traditions of them, several anthropologists and genealogists came to the conclusion that these Melungeon have many of them that are of Jewish descent.

My grandmother was a Melungeon, but I never grew up around her family. She died when I was 2 years-old. I had heard all my life that we were "Black Dutch" but no one in the family could explain why there were no Dutch names or even who the ancestor was that was Dutch. When I was older, I learned that "Black Dutch" was merely a code word for Melungeon.

I discovered the ancestors through genealogy and found that side of the family. Their last name was Rose, they were from Virginia, in the mountains. I found my ancestor, a Joel Rose Jr., whose father was Joel Rose, his sister was Hannah, a brother Solomon, and a brother named...King David...lol. I laughed when I read the census on ancestry.com, I mean who names their child King David?

But this all just goes to show that wherever the Jews were scattered to around the world, they attempted in some ways to preserve the knowledge of themselves. The moved into areas where there were indigenous people and they had to learn how to live together. Those indigenous peoples would not always accept assimilation of the Jews, and life was dangerous back then.

I am sure there are Native Americans who may indeed be descendants of Jewish people, and we have to remember that really, all groups of people moved all the time. Most of them left their mark for us to find today.

All we can do is say "yes, they were here"..it's like Hansel and Gretl leaving bread crumbs to find their way back home. Finding all these things in archeology is finding bread crumbs.

Since the first time I've read about paleo hebrew I always thought there was a relation between it and runic inscriptions, so I decided to google the topic and came across this page...another thing I had always in my mind is the resemblance of Esau (brother of Jacob) with the Viking people, according to the bible description...red haired, hirsute body, good hunter, etc...but before that another thing called my attention was the fact that abraham have banned Sarah`s handmaiden Hagar along with her son Ishmael from living among them and they have followed the North direction as indicated by an angel...perhaps there is really a connection between hebrews and the nordic folks...well...I think you're on the right track buddy

Not to mention the decendants of the jews who were carried off as slaves to Rome in 70 A.D. and 135 A.D. after the 2 failed jewish revolts.

Then there's the possiblity that when the Assyrians invaded Israel in 740 B.C., the jews they captured easily could have spread towards eastern Europe, and into Russia which is where these people who call modern jews Khazars get this from.

I've heard stories that the Brittish and their american cousins might have come from Manasseh and Ephriam. Jacob had 3 wives and they all looked different, one was supposedly african while one had red hair and green eyes, i think that one was Rachel, i'd have to go look i don't have my notes on me atm.

Just checking.
It could be that this font only woks if you are using the browser, Internet Explorer, and if you are using Google Chrome, then you just get empty boxes. In the Wikipedia article for runes there is a link (#27) to an article for new Windows 7 fonts and mentions SEGOE UI SYMBOL as being a font which spports runes.
