Rep. Paul says defense bill assures ‘descent into totalitarianism’

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul warned that the National Defense Authorization Act, which was passed by Congress this month, will accelerate the country’s “slip into tyranny” and virtually assures “our descent into totalitarianism.”

Why would a United States Congressman say such things?
Has anyone stopped and asked themselves that question?
This isn't some nut job, tinfoil hat wearin' lunatic!
This is a Doctor and a Untited States Congressman.
He may well know what he's talking about.

He goes on to say.

“The founders wanted to set a high bar for the government to overcome in order to deprive an individual of life or liberty,” Paul, the libertarian congressman, said Monday in a weekly phone message to supporters. “To lower that bar is to endanger everyone. When the bar is low enough to include political enemies, our descent into totalitarianism is virtually assured. The Patriot Act, as bad as its violations against the Fourth Amendment was, was just one step down the slippery slope. The recently passed National Defense Authorization Act continues that slip into tyranny, and in fact, accelerates it significantly.”

We have been set up folks, and by the time most people really come to terms with what is happening it will be much too late. The time to realize that your Government is screwing you and selling you out to a New World Order Fascist regime is not while you are hogtied in a dark damp cold railcar headed to a re-education facility!!!
By then it is too late!!!

Don't bother being all patriotic then.
Then is when you need to remember that there was once a United States Congressman who tried to tell you what the NDAA was going to do to you and your family.
He tried to warn you.
HELL, he even tried to be your President so he could turn it all around.

NO ONE will be able to rightfully say, "I had no idea"!!!!

If you don't vote for this man the best you will be able to hope for is to live out the remainder of your life on your knees as a slave to these Luciferian scumbags and you will deserve every minuite of it too.

I am continually shocked at how stupid the average American is about anything actually important. That Ron Paul agrees with Alex Jones about things speaks volumes. The hard tyranny is coming, but many americans are so selfish and amoral, they wont care until it happens to them personally. They will watch neighbors get dragged off, no problem. We live in a Nation of stupid people who think they are smart, and fooled people who believe they know what is real.

It's been that way a long time. I'm glad some of us have evolved past the herd mentality. At least we realize how boned we are as it happens, and I take some perverse solace in that.

I saw this on Drudge and thought it'd be just a matter of time until someone posted it here.

Government will do whatever it can to ensure it's survival. It will destroy the self-same document that created it, in order to survive.

I may rant (on occasion) about the perils that come with a large government, but this speaks for itself.

The NDAA codifies into law that the president is basically an emperor, capable of arresting, torturing and/or murdering anyone IN THE WORLD, without proof or trial, if they brand them a ``terrorist``.

Not even the Soviets or the Chinese did this crap. At least they gave you a trial, yeah it's a kangaroo trial but at least you got one.

I'll just leave you with a passage from the US declaration of independence and make up your own mind about what it means :

IMO, Ron Paul is SEEN as the ``last peaceful shot`` before the ``declaration of independence way`` has to be used to regain freedom. Nobody sane wants to use the ``declaration of independence way`` because it's gonna be real ugly and that's what the trouble makers want.

It's so saddening to see how the majority does not even notice the fascist agenda that is played out in front of their eyes. SOPA, NDAA and what else not, all for your protection and safety. Don't listen to that Paul guy!

People associate Nazi Germany with a true dictatorship, identified by a single person acting as the dictator. What most are missing is that 66 years have passed since then, giving those in the know a lot of time to update the concept of dictatorship!

Ron Paul's statements and voting records are absolutely impeccable. His consistency and focus are frankly unmatched by any other candidate in any party. Anyone who believes he is a racist or lunatic fringe has simply done no research on him and has not read his words or looked at his voting record. Ignorant people who don't even know they're in the Information Age - where you can find out anything about anybody - sit brainwashed before their televisions and believe exactly what their told.

But maybe this time, there are enough people that have opened their eyes and their ears to the truth and we are going to completely break the system at the ballot box. Ron Paul's win will transform the Republican Party, transform US foreign policy, transform the tax, education and welfare systems and transform the monetary system of the United States.

Dr. Paul deserves more credit than any other person running right now. It's sad to see that he does not receive more support from voters. You are right, by the time people realize how messed up our government is and start being patriotic, it'll be too late for any change. This bill is just one of many coming up that will gradually and systematically take over the rights of the people. Just one other reason to vote for Dr. Paul in the coming election.

Because he was on the campaign trail, voting for it wouldn't change anything anyhow... so he spoke a hell lot about how bad this bill was which really did a lot more overall than just vote against it.

I hope your wrong. I REALLY REALLY hope your wrong. But unfortunately you are right that they are hording money like crazy. I figured it was simply for greed + boats & hookers. But i never stopped to consider that 'private security' could very well be a big part of it also. JP Morgan gave a $4,000,000 'donation' to the police and just look how they flocked to OWS to violently protect them.

A year or so ago and i might have dismissed your claims and said you guys were just paranoid and delusional. But this is a very real possibility and it saddens me to see your economy fall and be stolen by such vile psychotic bankers and government puppets
