ATS Chat

ATSers I'm running into a problem with loading the chat room. When I click the CHAT^ button on the top tool bar it brings up a page that tells me what I can and can't do in the chat room, but wont take me to the room.

Am I missing something?

I've been able to get into it before with no problem.

Nevermind figured out the problem 1.

Now I have another problem I can't get to the text box or its not showing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I've only been on chat once so don't know that much about it but from memory you should get a Java security dialog asking you if you want to run the applet. Do you have Java installed? First time I tried I didn't so not much happened. After installing Java and agreeing to the applet it should just run.

Maybe someone else has an idea if Java is not your problem.

Correction I cannot type in the chat room. I can't even find the text box that is supposed to be at the bottom of the page. Did ATS Chat change??? It used to be so easy..

Thanks. Yea that was the correction for porblem 1. I downloaded Java and the chat room shows, but not the text box so I can conversate with others in the room...

Its funny you should mention that as I had the exact same problem. "Where's the text box???" I have a small screen so need to turn the resolution up which made the text box invisible due to it not fitting on the screen. I had to "scroll down" or resize it and move it around. Give it a try and let us know how you get on.
ETA Pertinent fact like the poster under me mentions. I'm on Linux and Firefox.

What internet browser are you using?

The general consensus on ATS is that Google Chrome works best for ATS Chat..Whereas IE & FF aren't so good with it.

Restarted browser. Now things are moving smoothly. Thanks for your effort. Maybe restarting your browser wil work for you also.

I'm using IE, but I got it to work. I need a better computer in general.
