Good eye, because I'm a tech retard! I shot the video on my hd vid camera, played it back paused it and took a pic w my iphone.

I second the Rutan White Knight / Spaceship One combo.

On second thought, the profile isn't exactly the same as the Rutan plane. I'm temporarily stumped.

Unless perhaps they are carrying some other cargo/plane other then Spaceship One.

Okay. Looking again, It seems like a glider being towed, as seen from behind.

It looks like two seaplanes mating. Perhaps the blurry picture was their previous offspring and they were keeping a protective eye on it.

Rarely seen in the wild. Good catch....

Looks like a picture of a plane either taken through a screen or more likely, a picture of a plane on TV.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking as well. Either a picture taken through a window screen, or more likely a picture of a plane on TV

I wish the OP could figure out how to upload the video or something. That would help a lot.... The pictures we see make it harder to identify accurately, since it is a picture of a tv screen. The picture is a bit distorted because of that.

I would help them with it, but I too am tech-tarded.

I do hope that they upload that video. I don't know if I could discern what it is any better on video than I can on that screen shot, but seems it wouldn't have so many lines and distortion in the video.

Very good shot. It looks like you might have had a good angle on a re-fueling of an aircraft shot from below. If not, it may be one of Virgin Airs experimental craft.

Model of Rutan White Knight without the rocket in a similar pose placed over the photo. Found a model on the Sketchup site.

Something else I think. Glider being towed sounds reasonable but still odd shape?
