Actually it prevents it. People will bend over and take martial law brought on by some foreign threat, but if they tried to bring it about because of American's protesting they will be met with such resistance it could start a real revolution.

It's not so much a trimming and clipping as it is streamlining. The majority of the shift ends most Federal powers and transfers them to the states. States can get as bloated as the people want their state to get, but it won't drag down all the other states - a state's power is for the most part limited to that state, and can't wreak havoc in other states,

The federal government is forced back into the box that the Constitution put it in to begin with, before it got out of hand, It eliminates altogether corporate influence in federal government which affects us all, regardless of state.

Are you in the camp that thinks we need to just go ahead and burn the constitution, rather than force government back into it's constraints?

With that theory, a state - California for example, or Massachusetts, can go as far into communism as the people there want, and it doesn't fling the rest of us into that abyss. We can then all be friends!

It seems a bit ungainly for time sensitive things like elections, but I suppose it would work, with the added bonus of the potential for a breakthrough of the political glass ceiling for relative unknowns, rather than letting a handful of other people decide whether you want Benedict Arnold A or Benedict Arnold B to run on any particular platform, and leaving you with Benedict Arnold A or B against Benedict Arnold C in the national election runoff.

It has the potential to put someone who ISN'T a Benedict Arnold into the race, and that wouldn't be a BAD thing.

On the other hand, OWS is merely trying to spread discontent, not gain solutions, by their own admission. Go ahead, ask one of 'em what their solution is, then ask another (if you get a solution out of the first one) what their solution is, Then try to find a solution put forth by the movement as a whole. See what I mean? They are intent on discontent, not solutions. They themselves claim their sole purpose is to "raise awareness", not provide solutions.

Discontent can spread like a brushfire door to door and one on one. Political campaigns - or efforts or solutions of any sort - generally require a more structured approach.

I personally believe that ALL political donations, regardless of source, including 5 bucks from cousin Jimmy, ought the be outlawed altogether. It's hard to run any sort of campaign from a jail cell. Start a government fund, apportioned equally out among the candidates at election time, and see who can make best use of the same amount, and NO MORE. Free air time for political commercials coming from the campaigns themselves, and jail time for external attempts to run political commercials, even paid political commercials from sources external to the campaign.

There are, however, problems with that approach which would have to be ironed out, not the least of which is the uproar that it would violate the First Amendment. I'll have to work out a solution to that. Not sure what it is yet, but it will likely involve "person-hood" as belonging only to a single, breathing, eating organism of the humanoid sort, rather than a collective of humans being redefined as a "person".

Last night there was no consensus at the paov, it was the first GA meeting for the entire time because I don't get a chance to speak, anishka the facilitator (native american I think) who is a law student wants us only to focus on the proposal which she and her fellow fa-shill-atators have tabled. These are the only people really tabling proposals for these GA meetings. They refuse to inform people of the united nations involvement and the links between this and the decolonization program for which people are clearly biased to support (which has nothing to do with solving our immediate problems). They refuse to inform people about the consensus process and it's relation to the "consensus building institute" which was founded and headed by an mit professor who also just happens to have involvement with the first nations. I also setup a livestream channel, and have plenty of vids on my youtube channel. I have decimated their lack of a media center, they had the opportunity to do the same as I but chose not to and to protest silently in a corner.

These vids establish that I've been out there since oct 4th, all the while these useless fools have been "planning" all the way till the 15th of october. I also donated all of their water storage after they languished two full weeks thanks to a FASHILLITATOR choosing to write my fiancee down as being responsible for that only to find they put someone else in there later because we apparently were 'seperatists" for not wishing to engage in their united nations endorsed system of collaborative groupthink via unelected representatives who seem to have just appointed themselves as the leader. They claim that because they voted themselves in before they even held their first GA meeting during the planning stages that what they did was democratic.

It is due time people take this movement back for the people and I don't know how to convince people this is necessary but I am hoping that being practically the only person (that I know of) to have challenged the claimants (the city of victoria) on their request, I am sure anishka facilitator law student will have some other incompetent defense given she claimed the space was not a park. And when she fails, it was because "she was only a law student and not an actual lawyer". This injunction would go through if I didn't step up and challenge it and everybody knows it, now it stands a chance of not going through because the city claims they have authority 24/7 which THEY CLEARLY DO NOT.

Look, I spent the last 2 days at Occupy DC trying to tell these people who the real enemy was: the FED, most of our politicians, etc. Many did not want to hear it or thought I was crazy for telling them the power elite manipulate the world, its nations and people, and have been since before Wallstreet existed. I tried to tell them their message of 99 vs 1 was on point but their target 'Wallstreet greed' was totally off. It was never about money but power... I tried to warn them they were being used, that their march with the public unions tomorrow shows this to be true, but I was the crazy one. Whatever, I did my part and got some good video. Tomorrow should be interesting to say the least and I am staying away from the city.

Ah. I see you are a tactician. First claim the totality of "the 99%", then try to divide them up and pit them one against the other.

If you want to stir "the masses" by pitting the Tea Party against the OWS and fomenting a war, have at it. Not sure where those of us in neither camp will fall into your scheme, but I suppose we will be dragged into the fray, as pre-planned.
