What I would like to know is how many "new normals" are we going to be forced en endure? First the "new normal" was armed guards in airports. Then the "new normal" was TSA pat downs and body scanners in airports. Now the "new normal" is TSA checkpoints on highways.

What happens when there's another 9-11 (which, in all reality, is probably a matter of when, not if, sadly)? What will the "new normal" be then? If we're already starting from this place of TSA checkpoints on highways, body scanners, and pat downs, and if that fails to protect us as ostensibly intended, what further steps will they take? Armed guards everywhere? Checkpoints throughout cities?

We can debate the propriety and necessity of such measures until we're blue in the face, but at the end of the day, where does it stop? Is this not the definition of a slippery slope?

Just some musings. Peace.

For all the Obama supporters...Still think he's 'Cool?'

For all the Anti-Paul folks...still think he has nothing to offer?

Wake up and do the right thing...before it's too late. And that time is fast approaching.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate worth even thinking about. He is the ONLY one standing for your rights and freedoms. Is this so hard to understand?

Peace

Obama is definitely not cool, but for the record I think that his handlers and the Shadow Govt tell him what to do. I think it is all run by the CFR.

Ron Paul will likely run 3rd party if the GOP snubs him from the election, he refused to pledge that he wouldn't on FOX news. If the GOP pulls the same dirty tricks they did in 2008, I will also vote against EVERY Republican in the election. Since, IMO, there's no difference between either of the establishment parties, it will at least give me some solace that the Republican voters who participated in the slander against the only statesman running will experience the disappointment of defeat, before the economy and everything else comes crashing down, of course.

I got sucked in on the Obama "hope and change" B.S. but I don't blame myself for his lack of integrity. I'm voting for Ron Paul. I won't be surprised if hes a shill but I see no harm in taking 30 minutes out of my life to play the "purple finger" farce. In my mind, neither bush nor obama were legitimate Presidents of this Republic. I honestly don't know when we had our last legitimate President but I don't support either of them and I won't support R.P. if he pulls an obama. The Constitution is the Law of the Land. If our leaders don't follow it, they aren't legitimate.

Yeah, I too got sucked into believing that too. Change? I see not change. From what i know about the Constitution of 1776 the last real president was Herbert Hoover. When Franklin D. Roosevelt took office in 1933, America was almost completely bankrupt.

Under the doctrine of Parens Patriae, "Government As Parent", as a result of the manipulated bankruptcy of the United States of America in 1930, ALL the assets of the American people, their person, and of our country itself are held by the Depository Trust Corporation at 55 Water Street, NY, NY, secured by UCC Commercial Liens, which are then monetized as "debt money" by the Federal Reserve. It may interest you to know that under the umbrella of the Depository Trust Corporation lies the CEDE Corporation, the Federal Reserve Corporation, the American Bar Association, the legal arm of the banking interests, and the Internal Revenue Service, the system's collection agency.

Did you ever hear of the Independent Treasury Act of 1920? No, you say.... Hmmmmmmm....? The Independent Treasury Act of 1920 suspended the de jure (meaning "by right of legal establishment") Treasury Department of the United States government. Our Congress turned the Treasury Department over to a private corporation, which when seen in its true light, is a fascist monopolistic cartel, the Federal Reserve and their agents. The bulk of the ownership of the Federal Reserve System, a very well kept secret from the American Citizen, is held by these banking interests, and NONE is held by the United States Treasury:
Rothschild Bank of London
Rothschild Bank of Berlin
Warburg Bank of Hamburg
Warburg Bank of Amsterdam
Lazard Brothers of Paris
Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy
Chase Manhattan Bank of New York
Goldman, Sachs of New York
Lehman Brothers of New York
Kuhn Loeb Bank of New York
The Federal Reserve is at the root of most of our present statutory regulations, "laws", in the control and regulation of virtually all aspects of human activity in the United States, through successively socialistic constructions laid upon the Commerce clause of the Constitution. Basically, the Federal Reserve is the "STATE" of the United States. See "Our Enemy, The STATE" by Albert J. Nock - 1935, his Classic Critique Distinguishing "Government" from the "STATE."

Now you know who is running America!

I too am voting for Ron Paul. He is the only one that tells the truth of the matter, and the only one that truly follows the Constitution, a document I myself set a lot of stock in. You see, I was a soldier, and I swore an oath to support and defend it, even to death.

Federal law requires everyone who enlists or re-enlists in the Armed Forces of the United States to take the enlistment oath. The oath of enlistment into the United States Armed Forces is administered by any commissioned officer to any person enlisting or re-enlisting for a term of service into any branch of the military. The officer asks the person, or persons, to raise their right hand and repeat the oath after him. The oath is traditionally performed in front of the United States Flag and other flags, such as the state flag, military branch flag, and unit guidon may be present.
"I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

This Police State mentality has got to stop. This crap with the rock throwing in the OWS Movement is throwing a curve into the mix, what we need is a Peaceful Movement, not a Mob, and especially an armed mob, which could become a reality at any second.

We need a Strong Leader who believes in Real American Values, Ron Paul!

Obama is not just one person, he can sign an executive order anytime he wants and he has done so. Look it up!

If Obama can't get it passed in the Congress he just puts in an executive order. These actions are more like a dictator than a president.

Just my opinion.

Last time I checked, Obama was just one person in the process of making this crap into law. There's over five hundred others that give a yea or nay. It takes some republican votes there, too, chief.
They are all corrupt.

Good luck wasting time trying to get Paul elected. I'm going to spend the next year enjoying life and not worrying about that which will never change.

Right, don't do anything. Don't vote for Paul. That's cool..

Enjoy your fema camp.

Your make believe FEMA camps have been the boogeyman since the '90's.
I even live in Georgia with all the "coffins"
But, hey, I might like my FEMA camp. They might have a good crafts class, or rocketry, and swimming down at the pond with a rope swing!

As has every president that preceded him.
Look it up!
Please, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
They are ALL vile. Both parties.
Ron Paul doesn't have your best interests in mind.
He is just there to keep you distracted and out of the streets with those who are rallying against those who actually run this country.
But this thread is nothing more than another WHOoohooo Ron Paul backslapping fest anyway, so I'll let you get back to it.

All you rp supporters better hope he doesn't get nailed to a cross before you get to waste your vote on him.

Maybe he can start a church and you guys can all worship him for real.

He is a crackpot not the Messiah, not the Savior of the nation and he will not be president.

Look at the bright side, at least you wont have to get angry about how he goes back on all his promises.

Now, now...just let them give their pennies to the millionaire for a campaign that will never amount to anything. Most of them don't realize that outside of this site and the others they may visit that agree with their Paulitis, people aren't in to him.

Everyone has to believe in something.

But most are kinda uppity about this whole "vote Paul or be molested in public", or fill in any other quote of the day

Maybe you can come and enjoy my FEMA camp with me

I'm going to vote Ron Paul

However

I believe he is just the political equivalent to a carrot on a stick.

His sole purpose for being allowed to be in his position is to give people like us, and those that see through the lies, false hope. Except that, in reality, there really is no choice nor any hope at all.
Only when people fully realize this will there be real change, and it won't come in the form of politics.
Until then, they'll keep serving us up more Ron Pauls.

I do not understand why the American people can not unite for their own good. Together we have the power to hit TPTB right where it hurts, I their pocketbooks and election results. If instead of complaining and continuing to shop with the same businesses that have considered corporate over what is good for the customer, just change stores. I do not buy gas from Exxon and probably never will again. I will never buy another chevy after their little bout of money problems when they dumped their health care retirees on medicare, with better benefits of course. If we had a spokesmen (think celebrity) to get the message out we could cause some real financial deficits for some very large companies. The Bank of America incident could be a beautiful start of the people showing our own style of power. I personally am not going to vote for any incumbent politician this coming election. I think they all have done a lousy job. We could unite. We could change things by changing our attitude. We elected them, we buy their products, we can say no. Americans don't all have to want the exact thing to band together, circle the wagons so to speak. We can do it, we have done it before.
