Awww, did someone push your "angry" button?

Get over it. Debate the issue or resort to name calling. Oh, I see that you chose the latter. Okay.

Noone pushed an angry button...You have been shut off now...You know what you are. I know what you are.

Outstanding! Good job! Silence those with a different opinion. Silence those that disagree with you. That pesky 1st ammendment gets rather annoying, doesn't it?

Naw...just silencing an idiot...not because it has a different opinion, but because I choose to deny ignorance, and what you type defines it.

When you have to apply insults to emphasize your point, you've lost the argument.

Better luck next time.

"If you're not for us, you're against us."

If I had a nickle every time someone told me that. . . . . . I'd be a 1%

I've always been against corruption in government.
Just not against capitalism.

I'm also not a proponent for anarchy, socialism, communism etc.

If their message was just stop corruption, then I'd be all for it.

But when OWS gets endorsed by CAIR, Michael Moore, unions, socialism party, communism party, DNC, ACORN. . .. . well you get the point.

My problem with your logic is, how are protesters supposed to keep people from endorsing them? Are they able to say, "We're the 99%, but Unions, you're not, you're not allowed to join us". That would be stupid. It should be endorsed by all people, but since it was touted by the left early on, the right is too stubborn to see the common goal. People really are just stupid.

Really?
Same way you pass up free samples at Costco.
"Thanks, but no thanks".

Not very hard.

I have yet to see where Capitalism promotes "MINE"!.
It promotes "I want, so I must work for it"

Socialism is not equality. You are very mistaken.

I challenge every reader to find a statement from those in support of the OWS that is not hypocritical.

Can't do it can you?

Sorry. I'm a firm believer in individualism. This "stand with us or against us" sounds a wee bit socialistic too me.
I'll stand as an individual, support indvidualism, (rugged individualism) and support and endorse personal responsibility over "social justice" or any other hive-mind ideology.

No apologies needed... I think we are having a civilized conversation without offending each other (hopefully)!
I hear ya... I'm an individual too (and when I go to the protest, I stand as one). And definitely don't agree that "stand with us or against us" is a fair statement at all... that is an expression that perpetuates conflict which is not helping things. But standing next to people that don't 100% share your beliefs doesn't comprise individuality. I'm not trying to convince you of anything (please do speak out against the rallies if you feel they threaten what you have or stand for)... except that there are global issues and we really do need to work together despite our differences. Which is why there is such a diverse group at these rallies... they are trying to work together to make things better for each individual out there! I think we all want the same things, but just have different ideas that we each think will get us there.

So given that most Neo-Nazis vote right, does that mean you're also not in favor of the GOP or Tea Party? Just checking, because according to your logic (aka focusing on a small fringe subgroup of a movement/party...taking it to Glenn Beck like extremes), it would be hypocritical to vote for the GOP or Tea Party

Sorry, I didn't know there was anything ironic about me being 6'7" tall and being called "mental" all my life. Could you please explain to me what my own name is supposed to mean?

also, I did not know I was in a competition with that person.

i dont go down to check out ows or occupy anything because Im at work too (although I am the owner) and my home is paid for, and i have food already. Were alot alike...

Ditto!! I stop at end the Fed and political corruption. Everything else is just whining, fantasy, and childs play. The movement is already crumbling under the added weight of all who seek to climb on board the band wagon.

Don't forget the American Nazi Party endorsement!!

I don't want to step into an argument, but that statement is a large generalization and is not fair. I support OWS and try very hard not to offend people because their beliefs (or for any reason). Your statement could be used against any group of people because it is individuals that act critical, and every group is comprised of individuals. I can say the same about people who continually call the OWS supporters names without reason. If I based my opinion of you based off of what other people that share your point of view are saying, would it be correct?

I have a job, pay my rent and put food on my table ... and still make it down there on a near-daily basis. You can say that you don't agree with the movement (which I'm fine with and enjoy hearing educated opinions on why people disagree... it helps us all learn because as much as we all think we are right, we aren't), but really this argument you provided doesn't mean much. And in case it means anything to anyone... I personally respect opinions against the movement a lot more from those who have been down there to witness and discuss it with those who are there (it at least shows that you are still open-minded).

I agree with Beezzer. I think mainstream America would also agree with this.

All of you who are in favor of OWS's message and think anyone who doesn't agree is stupid/sheeple/a slave/etc., realize that OWS does not speak for mainstream America. Most of America is not like OWS or even like the membership of ATS.

To mainstream America, the message of OWS is a joke. I can tell from here at ATS that many OWS protesters and sympathizers are earnest in their beliefs. Mainstream America, however, doesn't get it.

There are many Americans who still believe in the American dream.

So wait a minute. If Cain, Michael Moore, Unions, Socialist party, Communist party, DNC, and Acorn liked something, you would already be against it?

Instead of finding out if someone is for or against it and taking a side against it becuase they aren't on your "team", shouldn't you do the research and figure out what the situation or ideas are and make a decision based on your own criticle thinking skills?

I think this easy way of thinking is one of the greatest problems, when people choose a stance on an isue or they choose an idea that they stand by.

These sum it up for me

www.businessinsider.com...

Heres 15 charts showing that something went seriously wrong. While the Against Occupy Wall St crowd may not see a problem here, ask yourself if this trend continues what is it going to be like in 10, 15, 30 years down the road? If you keep jsut minding your own business noone will have a business to mind given enough time.

To the people Against Occupy Wall St what should be done, do you believe the financial system is fine the way it is?
