China: Occupy Wall Street's issues worth thought

hosted.ap.or g

BEIJING (AP) -- China's foreign ministry said Monday the Occupy Wall Street movement highlights issues that are worth considering, but that debates generated by the protests should promote global economic growth.

"Should promote global economic growth."

That only happens at the expense of the US economy, and transferring the wealth and power of the USA to the rest of the world... In my opinion.

It isn't how an enemy is destroyed, but that they are ultimately.

China officially supports the OWS movement, and the core principles behind it... Is that any surprise to anyone?

This news item will be far more important in time, much more than it is right now.

Celebrate OWS, China supports you "officially" now.

Thread already discussing this, and I believe it would be smart for a foreign power to further sew discontent among Americans during such a tumultuous time by funding people on the streets and forcing their own ideas and views into the discussion on the ground, through the media, and over any other channel.

Do Americans want change? Yes
Do foreign powers want to change American? Yes

Any critical thinker can see the opportunity and how to effectively sieze it.

I think that the real question is why the FBI isn't taking people handing out $20 bills, buying pizza and being addressed as daddy in for questioning. Foreign agents are definately on Wall Street right now, are we even going to look?

He, he, in other words China is waiting for the American insurrection and civil unrest to turn into a full blown second American revolution, that will need reconstructing after is over, I imagine that the rest of the world including China will be betting on the money to be make after that

Kind of bad Karma to the US that was the one to do that type of dirty work after invading and liberating nations

Take that a step further, and ask yourself if the US is weak right now?

Despite all the wars, warmongering and other disasters and issues, are we really weak?

Would we be weak if, right now in such a time as we are living, to have a revolution?

Wouldn't that be the only time for our enemies to capitalize on our weakness?

I have tried to say from the beginning that while the need for change is legitimate, anyone knowing this also should know that now is not the time and therefore whomever is pushing for change should be scrutinized. However, neither people here, the media or anyone else is actually asking any real questions.

That concerns me more than anything else.

The only thing that can grow forever is cancer. Problem is that ends up killing the host, like money based systems do.

Economically yes, but when it comes to the people, no matter if we end up with a revolution and the nation will need reconstructing after that, we know that the people will chose no to have any type of outside intervention at all, at least i would not have it, let us do our own reconstruction and anything else, we did it before and ruled the world for a time as a superpower, we can do it again.

I don't think that any American me included will want any foreign nation ruling in our soil. Will you? remember US is after all the most armed nation in the world and no matter what we will always be.

Foreigners have been involved in this "movement" from the beginning, primarily through digital media and the internet. In my opinion.

Sorry, never thought to look in a thread about Iran for it.

That was a terrible example of thread duplication, there was no existing thread solely discussing this topic. Was it really even worth pointing out that it's being discussed in a random thread about Iran?

On topic, this is very interesting FF, thanks for posting.

Marg, They don't want a revolution here... They want an evolving political movement that will support economically destructive policies in the long term.

Anti-capitalist, anti-corporate, support BIGger government, higher taxes, more entitlements, social programs, free higher education, more regulations and restrictions on domestic businesses, financial sector, corporations, manufacturing, and domestic energy production, stricter pollution and environmental policies... All a deviously clever plan that will ultimately lead to the slow, but accelerating collapse of the US economy. Which is what the left has been doing to this country for decades now, yes, the hippies finally made it.

They needed a new breed... Enter the anons, then the slow spread of dissent, a new movement was born.

IMO .... "The plan" has been very successful.

How can China be in support of this? I always thought China was ranking right up there in the treat the civilians like shi (Crap).

Maybe I was wrong and they are paid well and have full medical coverage with bonuses every year that make our wages look like chumps change.

But then seeming's how we are pretty much being taken over with China products and they are buying up all our run down steel mills and such they really would be against us getting back on our feet I would think till I see how this will distract what the US is doing over there in the Middle East and Korea areas then I can see why China would be all for any uprisings in the US.

Now wouldn`t it be nice if China`s citizens joined in in wanting treated better. Bet China`s Government wouldn`t agree then now would they.

Well, since we're being snarky here...I believe you were looking for "You're" there, but who am I to judge?

On topic: FF, thanks for bringing this to the table. I agree that this will become much more pertinent news in the coming weeks/months. Too many people have too much to gain from what appears to be an artificial or infiltrated movement.

This quote says it all:

China isn't supporting the human rights aspects of this, only the principles of the movement that they see potential benefit for China in.

They can't remain silent on this now... Too far in to back out?

Ive noticed a lot of government picking up on the OWS protests. Their responses, imo, seem geared to retaining power by pretending to be on the same side as the ows people.

I am curious if governments are going to throw the banks / financial system under the bus?

Metaphorically speaking... If that bus in traveling only on US streets, especially wall street, and the financial systems thrown under it, are primarily US and/or affiliated with them.... Then Yes!

I didn't accuse him of duplicating a thread ranger bob. I just said it was already being discussed.

Who are you people? I'm providing input to this thread and I'm attacked anyway, sheesh. I don't even care if you apologize, look at yourselves. Do you spend your whole life trying to argue or disprove someone like it's debate porn?

I'm the one that was talking about this a long time ago, so I kind of know what's going on.

Interesting and somewhat revealing quote from the original news item...

"We have also noticed that in the media there has been a lot of commentary, discussion and reflection. But we think that all of these reflections should be conducive to maintaining the sound and steady development of the world economy,"

Developing the world economy... So that China rules as the supreme global economic power?

They want the "media" to focus on what is "conducive" to their global agendas.
