The booby clouds, LoL. That's the first thing I thought of, and then Dr. Evils member ship flying through them. On topic now, these photos are amazing, thanks for sharing.

Have seen the lightning bugs in the heavily forested Shenendoah Mountain region all blinking in unison, patterns and sequences its better than Christmas.
We had them really heavy here too, along with glow worms. it was really awesome,, i began to wonder, and will when I get extra cash... to go and order blue and pink lightening bugs just to see what would happen, don't have the sight on me but I remembered about a place that sells them and will have to re - look it up one day

Good Stuff! Pics like these have always been very therapeutic to me, help's me escape the chaos all around us. In my opinion theirs never a bad day in nature. Mankind is always reminded of our role amongst her, we have no authority over her. We are forced to adapt and endure. Thanks for these!

Fantastic post and Photos!!! If I could post 3 photos to a thread I would be happy.
Troubles is (too many megapixels or something or other) becomes a hassle.
I'm just too lazy or stupid to add pix.

I need a secretary!!! No Doubt.

I had never heard of a couple of those, thank you.

Also I am intrigued by Relámpago del Catatumbo, I am a UFO buff, and from one famous bit of NASA footage, UFO's are seen to be attracted to lightning,

Permanent storm? Good place to take an Infra-red camera I bet

Where I live in the southern states I have seen Mammatus clouds, gravity waves, and often moon bows and fire rainbows. As many times as I urge people to look into the sky's, most of the time the phenomena are gone or no one cares. It's kind of sad, but it is very good to know that I'm not the only one that takes notice of these phenomena. Once again, excellent post, you rock. Peace and love!!

Wow again! S&F.

Permafrost stone rings

Millions of these rings are formed as stones are arranged over the years by freezing and thawing.

Mother nature never stops amazing me

I have quite a lot of photo's of "Gravity clouds" but I don't live near any mountains.
I see them all the time, on a daily basis sometimes.

Brilliant thread, thanks for sharing

Good thread and great pictures BUT.

Please, please, PLEASE correct the title of this thread. Every time I read it sets my teeth on edge. Phenomena IS the plural of phenomenon. There is no need for an "s" and even where a plural does require an "s" it is NEVER preceded by an apostrophe.

I know people are going to call me pedantic, but this site is about denying ignorance. I think the same should apply to how the great and truly universal language of English is used.

I accept that spelling mistakes will creep in now and again, but having put so much effort into creating this thread, please at least try to make sure that the headline is correct.
