Proposal for new terminology when referencing certain groups!

How about we establish new terminology that better suits and fits TPTB,.

I propose on this the 5th of October in the year 2011 that we no longer refer to TPTB as THE ELITE as nothing about them makes them elite and the definition of the term means they are better then someone.

New term proposed, SCUM!

What say we?

If someone can come up with something better while remaining adherent to ATS TOS then it will be welcomed.

not really sure. i mean...changing the name of TPTB to SCUM...would be like me giving myself a nickname of...chris. you know? like...typically...when you try to change a name of an acronym group...you change it to another acronym name...or something catchy...or, perhaps, clever. not just SCUM. yes...they are SCUM...but what does SCUM stand for? do you have an acronym for that?

And just to be clear, some small numbers of people rise to power without being SCUM. I think a lot of ATM members are hoping that Ron Paul eventually gets there, but would not call him SCUM if he did.

I propose a new terminology.
"SCUM_1" to refer to the people currently known as SCUM who are not members of TPTB.
"SCUM_2" to refer to the people currently known as TPTB who are now new members of SCUM.
"SCUM_3" to refer to the people currently known as TPTB who are not members of SCUM.

Now there will be no confusion.

look. i understand your disapproval for them. i'm not arguing that. call me a jerk..but uh...typically...in order for "movements" or "changes" like you are proposing to actually be taken seriously...there is usually a hint of wit to them...something catchy in the name...a slick talking promoter...and actual direction.

this "proposal" of yours...sounds more like something you came up with while cleaning the taco bell packets out of your pockets before putting them in your mom's washer...and in doing so...started thinking about how good that taco was...and how you really need a mountain dew...but those scum only gave you enough money on your unemployment check/student loan to get that sack from your guy and a taco on the way home.

just saying...this wasn't very well thought out on your behalf. you should've put a little more into this before putting it into one of the serious forums. maybe...move this to the rant section...or general hit chat...or the relationship forum. but the new world order forum? come on...you just want a mountain dew...

I think THE ELITE is quite suitable, no need to go making drastic changes on a mere whim so I'd vote to keep things just the way they are. Savvy.

The OP makes a valid point in dropping the use of 'The Elite' to describe TPTB.

Although personally I don't see anything wrong with labelling them just 'TPTB'. I just wish people would stop calling them 'The Elite'.

IMHO you look a moron when you label someone as being Elite, all you are doing is suggesting there are people superior to yourself. You are degrading yourself. It's a very basic psychological trick, Alex Jones is probably well aware of that, it's probably why he uses it.

Stop calling them Elite, they are not and never will be.
