Post the original songs, and post a song years later that derived from that particular song. I will begin with these.

Esther Phillips - That's All Right With Me

LL Cool J - Pink Cookies In A Plastic Bag (Remix)

The Charmels - As Long As I've Got You

Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M

I do not listen to hip hop,but I like american, especially from 80-90s. Why? Because it reminds me of GTA San Andreas

Doesn't matter music is the universal language regardless. If you might not like one particular genre, you might like another. This thread is for musical knowledge showing that particular samples derive from the original song. However; you would have to know all aspects of music to know that.

P.S. Juveous where you at bro?!

I find it sad that people need to use samples instead of learning to play instruments to make their own or having some ingenuity other then a computer or some software.
Rap and hip hop suck in my opinion!!!
Its kinda pathetic.

I could use a hot frying pan for a snare while dropping a piece of chicken on the floor for a bass drum.
Whats their excuse??

I get sick of hearing classics like Dream on by Aerosmith and Kashmir by Led Zepplin etc etc or any other classic getting ripped off and *sampled*
Make your own music and samples!!!!

Making a beat even with a sample is NOT easy. You have to be extremely talented/skilled in order to do it. Sure it looks like it would be, but it really isn't...

But a lot of music genre samples others.... not just rap. A lot of house, trance, IDM and even pop sample a LOT. Most modern "rap beats" don't even sample anymore. It's a buncha synth and 808 drum garbage.

And no one is getting "ripped off" as you say. As you have to purchase the rights to the song to use it if you want it relased or face getting sued.

LED ZEPLIN STOLE MOST OF THEIR "HITS" FROM OTHERS. So maybe you should look into that before dissing rap....when the people you mention in your post STOLE songs and got sued.

At least hip hop artists BUY the rights to songs to sample......

Aerosmith also samples as well:

www.whosampled.com...

You seem to know very little about the music you claim to listen to

Trolling ----------------> GTFO

Are you a musician or a connoisseur of music? Do you understand music? Or do you just listen to it, because its played on the radio 20x a day. You must lack knowledge in this subject. You and every other hater come up with the same excuse. It's becoming quite old.

Here is a song for you. Just vocal samples used nothing more. School you up a bit. Class is now in session!

Gilbert O'Sullivan - Claire

J Rawls (LCP) - A Tribute To Dilla

Ooooh...so anyone that disagrees with you is a troll??
Nice logic.

I really am sick of this culture.
They can't wear a pair of pants and know the use of a belt, can't wear a hat properly and they can't play instruments, yet i am supposed to take this crap seriously???
Really??

Making a beat IS easy...read my first post.
Making a sample...if its that hard then you don't know how to use your software.

Chicken and a frying pan....a computerized drum beat done in seconds.
Simple if you actually know what you are doing.

When I said beat I was referring to a finished track, not drums. Ya know the term "rap beat". lol

And making a sample? You don't make a sample... Wasn't that your whole argument?... sampling is bad because the person themselves didn't create it.

Why did you ignore my post about Led Zeplin stealing and Aerosmith sampling?

^^That's all I needed to know about you. That says a lot about your logic.

You are stereotyping. You are showing ignorance. Hahaha wow you fail GTFO. Seriously. And not everyone uses Fruity loops software, I actually use vinyls that I have collected, and I use an MPC 2500, and turntables. Cost just a much as any other instrument.

I notice you have a scholar title instead of a member title...Hmmmmmm, If you were a scholar you would have been the middle man! Unfortunately you earned that title by accident. How do you know I am not a 40 year old white man or women from Alabama? Assumptions is the mother of all F%%K ups. Don't try and twist the facts you failed...It even took you long enough to respond with a failed attempt. I'm sorry you labeled as a scholar? I love Rock and Roll too. So where is your argument from there?

Dennis Coffey - Scorpio

This is for all those haters out there.
"I'm listening to Dennis Coffey and the Detroit Guitar Band."

Not by accident, thank my father for giving me all aspects of Music!

1983! Is the year I'm born so don't test me

LL Cool J - Jingling Baby

Sorry for the lame ass intro theme. The proof is in the pudding!
